Alysa's jumps are like money. To me, she's the obvious choice for both segments of the team event for the US.

I prefer Nakai, but Liu was clean and Nakai was not.

I hate that I feel the way I do, but seeing this at both Worlds and then Skate America, it seems a bit phoned in to me now like she's going through the motions especially after the high of Worlds. I know this whole "I don't think about skating I just go do it and don't stress" but it's not really hitting with me this year with the free skate. I think she practices it while Gaga is either getting ready or not and is just kinda like meh.. well this again.

Don't know about the TES, the scores for some ordinary jumps seemed quite generous. And this isn't exactly a masterpiece program PCS wise.

Interesting. The judges did put it (barely) behind Nakai in the free skate, which is what I would have done (but didn't think they would do). Still enough overall.

ITA with Tony's comments and do think she needs to bring something new for the Olympics.

Messy fall on underrotated triple loop from Chiba. And again on the salchow also underrotated. Hopefully this drops her off the podium. I hate her tiny skating and underrotated jumps so much and hate the overly generous judging of it even more! And please call these flutzes!
