2025 ISU GPF Ice Dance Free Dance - Have No Fear Shawn’s Not Here

I’m so over the lazy ways teams throw in the required touch in the twizzles for the FD. It never compositionally makes sense. Here it ends up looking like Saulius is whipping Alison into the set.

Perfect opening combination lifts for Lilah & Lewis. She gets through that second counter-rotation twizzle almost always but her entire upper body locks up and she gets really tentative on it. Again she's sticky on the midline, L3 okay???. L2 one foot for her, I'd think that maybe goes down, too. Every required edge looked sketchy.

Once they get past 500 Miles (and a big part of their TES), I somewhat get lost with the program but they definitely upped the content between the elements. It used to be ZERO going on besides going from big choreographic element to the next.

Another crowd pleasing performance. I felt like they were holding back slightly in this skate, and they are going to have to push this program out even harder if they are going to be on the Olympic podium.

126.26 = 1st Place
208.81 = 1st Place

Nice to incorporate musical interpretation in the steps between the twizzles, skating with more freedom than the RD, feels like Fear spent a lot of time in the air :lol: nice presentation

Fear/Gibson - I always enjoy watching them and really respect the effort they've put into improving and using the system to their advantage. That L1 for him on the steps may prove costly though (ETA - Ah, it moved up to 2). Did they change the ending? Was it alway that drawn out?

It looks like the red lining from Madison's costume is gone. That's a shame. I thought it was very effective.

I've been complaining about R/A's scores for years. They aren't anything out of the ordinary from what they've already been given.
Even though I do like them, I feel like they tick off that OES box in the 7-10 range at Worlds that has existed since the late 90s.
