Zingas/Kolesnik - I really like this program, and not just because it's to some of my favourite music. I like that they haven't gone traditional Romeo and Juliet (in terms of the program as a whole - minus the stabbing at the end). Skated really strongly all round. Will not be unhappy to see this at the Olympics.

Easily fixable RD issue aside, I think they've done more than enough here to lead the clear charge as #2 in the US going into Nationals and a very comfortable position to get to the Olympics.

All levels from initial calls held, including his DiSt3.

I was afraid they might hold back and skate more cautiously - but absolutely not. They went for it and good for them. Congratulations on a great performance.

Fantastic combination lifts to start, I can't deny that. It's just the openness of the program and the simplicity of what they do to get into each of the elements. Really clunky toward the end on his one foot, I doubt the level 3 holds. And now she with a level 3 on the midline- should also drop. Tribute to Punsalan/Swallows Racecar program and Grushuk/Platov's Memorial going into the twizzles which I like.

Little bit tentative overall IMO, the Straight line lift had an ever so slight pause in getting into position, the dance spin was slowish. Fun yeah but not a top team even with all the [other] geriatrics.

It's not great art, or even great skating, but it's a fun performance, and clearly very crowd friendly.

120.13 = 1st Place
199.61 = 1st Place

Reed/Ambrulevicius - They're into it and have found what works for them. That's great. But it looks very workmanlike in comparison to the previous team. I might enjoy it more if i didn't hate the music. :lol:
