That program doesn't fit Schizas at all, she's hardly a prima ballerina, but she got through the jumps (except couldn't find her 2A today), and that's all she needed to get that very generous score.

I mean, we know this is what will happen in the FD, especially after what the tech & judging panels showed us yesterday in the RD, lol.

Between Schizas, Dupuis, Medland Spence, Ruiter, Brezden, Yun, Woodley, Shiyraeva, and D'Amour, that was a ton of good free skates by Canadian Ladies standards. So much enjoyable skating today and a wonderful top 3. This definitely amongst the best of ladies nationals that I've seen in a very long time. Really solid event overall even if there is only one spot at Worlds. We have potential here, hopefully they can harness it and make it work to their advantage.

My props to the bronze medalist for being a full time college student and pulling out such a respectable skate. Seeing her delight and surprise to see she medaled in the kiss n cry was the highlight of the small portion of the comp I got to see.

Yeah the costume for Madeline needs to be refined. Too much going on. She looks fantastic in her practices dresses, which are almost always clean lines without any unnecessary accoutrements to get in the way.

I wish she would have just worn this for the free skate.

Due to a personal commitment I was unable to watch any of these nationals live
I did watch most of the women’s free but didn’t watch Schizas yet.
I wish Brezden had stayed ahead of Ruiter (the latter seemed overscored in both programs to me). I wish Medland-Spence had stayed in second. Fingers crossed the top three get 4CC.

Why does everyone diss on Joanne McLeod so much?

She doesn't seem to be crazy and, last I checked, she's produced a lot of winning skaters.
