Initial Golden Spin rosters are gigantic. Good to see Pinzaronne entered for now. Too bad there's practically no chance we'll get any kind of functional stream for this event.

I just saw the entry link on reddit - really a lot of entries and I am happy as well to see Pinzarone on the roster. Hopefully she is healthy again. Suprised to see Livia Kaiser on it. I thought a bit of rest and healing would now be in order but her team will know better how healthy she is.

It annoys me that Canada doesn't send skaters to many international competitions, and then in turn wonder why they don't compete very well compared to practice.

Yeah i see no Canadian skaters at either of the last two Challengers Tallinn or Golden Spin are there local competitions like sectionals going on in Canada at the same time as these two events? Otherwise why not get their skaters out there the US is sending a full squad to both events.

Correct, this is just a domestic qualifying event for Canadian junior and senior skaters trying to qualify for nationals. Despite the confusingly similar name, this is not an ISU Challenger event.
