I'll do your homework for you: he showed up to a reception at the Kremlin for Olympic medalists and shook hands with Putin, but didn't get an autograph from him like his skating partner did. You could say that he could have refused to put himself in a situation like that, but is it really any different from the thousands of college and pro athletes who showed up to the White House during the orange years only for the orange turd to make it all about himself?

Also, he also did not show up at the Z rally at the beginning of the war like two other pairs skaters and two other ice dancers famously did. Are you confusing him with T/M?
