I was happy to land quads (today) that I failed previously - 4S for SP and 4T for FS at Lombardia. As for the second half, I thought Lombardia Trophy might be better such as steps. Scoring 190 points with this composition (the elements), I am feeling my growth in other aspects than jumps.

I think it is good that I was able to put 4Lz in the program, and put it (the rest of the program) together well. I have not practiced 4Lz at all, but I think I was able to get back the feeling of doing the jump in the competition by giving it one shot here. I hope to nail it next time.

I competed (today) because I thought I could do it while seeing how things go about my injury from yesterday. Of course since it is a torn muscle, it hurts a lot, but it would not get worse if I did not do the same mistake. Of course I had to be careful, but after consulting with the trainer, I decided that I could skate today. It's not a serious injury and I hope that it will heal within less than two weeks.

Note:
Yuma, Shun, and kao are good friends off-ice.
Kao sustained the injury during the morning practice the day before. He decided to skate FS since if he does not, he will not be able to skate at the Japanese Nationals.

Uh-huh. They might not be as bad as Rissian, Canadian or US domestic comps, but there is definitely score inflation at Japanese domestic events, especially Nats.

Of course they do, but a. visibly to a lesser extent than US judges, to say nothing of Russian ones, and b. this wasn’t Nationals, where the stakes are much higher. Sato and Miura’s FS scores seem appropriate for the technical content they put out.

This weekend he won free skate and got silver overall by landing 4Tq, 3Lz, 3A-1Eu-3S, 3Lo, / 3F-3T, 3A, 3Lz-2A with all positive GOEs.

Mako Yamashita maintained the SP lead and won the race, followed by Saki Miyake in second place, and Sae Shimizu, who will be participating in the East Japan Championship next week as a pair [with Lucas Tsuyoshi Honda], in third place.
Even Yuna Shiraiwa, who came in 7th place, got a ticket to the All Japan Championship. Miyabi Oba, who placed 5th, will be participating in the All Japan Championship for the 12th time.

Although Kana/Daisuke team retired, I am really excited to see Utana Yoshida and Shingo Nishiyama coming in 1st and 2nd at East Japan Dance with their new partners. I really liked them when they were competing together and still consider their "Don Q" Free Dance one of the best programs by JPN dancers.

BS Fuji channel is going to show Women's Free Skate live, in about an hours time.
To recap what happened in the Women SP, the unexpected ranking and the scores of the top six and Ami Nakai are as follows;

Ami Nakai just skated the FP.
She scored 105.83 53.16 53.67 (Deduction -1.0)
Total Score was 160.89 and leading after first twelve skaters.
There is still 12 skaters to come, and since only top eight will be invited to senior nationals, we may not be able to see her at Senior Nationals. I still remember Ami's 3A+3T at last year's Senior Nationals as the most exciting element in any event last season. What a shame, if she fails to make it.
There is a rumor that she is nursing a "hip injury".
