ETA:

On Thursday, Sinitsina and Katsalapov were not included in the test skates of the Russian national team, which will be held on September 24-25 in Moscow.
"For Vika and me, it is fundamentally important that you always learn all our main news from us, only 100% trust our words and posts. Friends, we had an amazing Olympic cycle. Incredible. We won the European and World Championships, for the Olympics prepared in very difficult conditions! It was our personal marathon for 8 years, which brought us a huge amount of emotions, impressions, happiness, medals, including the most important Olympic medals in the life of an athlete, "Katsalapov wrote in his Telegram channel.
“But at the same time, it took a huge amount of strength. We are constantly on the ice: training, ice shows. So we keep our form at 100%, but we felt that we want to reboot, both mentally and physically. Therefore, after consulting with each other, coaches and relatives, we decided to skip the first half of the season in order to relax and recover. Moreover, we soon have a long-awaited event in our lives, our wedding! And we want to concentrate on this as much as possible, enjoy every moment of preparation, of the day itself. Devote time to each other. We hope that You will be sympathetic to our decision and support it," he added.

Alexandra Boikova / Dmitry Kozlovsky will miss the test skates of the Russian national team due to a partner’s microtrauma, figure skaters coach Tamara Moskvina told RIA Novosti.
“Nothing happened, Dima is recovering from a microtrauma. Thank you very much for your attention, for the fact that you like our couples,” said Moskvina.

"The training camp of the junior Russian national team will be held from October 2 to October 6 in Novogorsk near Moscow, Olga Yermolina, press attaché of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR), told RIA Novosti.
In August, control skating of the country's junior national figure skaters took place in Novogorsk."

In the context of what’s happening in Russia (the mobilization/forced conscription), the test skates are trivial. Who in Russia will care/watch? This is suddenly so out of touch.

p.s. According to the rules of who must join/rejoin the military, Eteri and other of our “favorite” coaches and older skaters must mobilize. Loopholes for the privileged? Time will tell.

LIVESTREAM INFO BELOW:

Psst…just for folks who don’t mind peeking in at what’ll be going on in Moscow tomorrow & Sunday…I don’t care to watch but many do…and I respect it.

Link to tomorrow’s SPs livestream coverage on YouTube (starts 8:00 AM eastern…right after Nebelhorn Women’s finals end):

Link to Sunday’s LPs, begins 7:30 AM eastern US):

This is the same “official-unofficial” YouTube channel that had the Jr test skates last month…so the full streams will likely be available for full replays later.

Saturday order of start times, per disciplines (eastern US times):

Dance 8am
Women 9:15am
Pairs 10:45 am
Men 11:55 am

Sunday:

Dance 7:30 am
Women 9:00 am
Pairs 10:40 am
Men 12:10 pm

I don’t have the running order of skaters, although participants’ names are listed in post #4 above, thanks to @Sylvia .

Moscow time is 7 hours ahead of eastern USA, as calculated above.

Again, just FYI. Watch or ignore, as you wish. Wink-wink.

It's being reported that Alexander Samarin has received a summons from the draft board, and he's not the only one to receive one.

I put this in here because I don't really consider it skating news, but if it needs to be moved to the appropriate thread then please do so.

Sokolovskaya is denying the report, so who knows.
So, now, the pressing question about the test skates is whether or not Samarin will show up...

Machine translation - "Mishin called problems before the test skates of Tuktamysheva and Semenenko":
The first is Lisa Tuktamysheva’s illness, she felt bad a few days before Novogorsk, she didn’t skate for a week. And the second moment is Zhenya Semenenko’s injury, which he received at the skates in Courchevel - video "Unpleasant fall spread on the Internet. The dynamics are positive, but the pain still persists. Due to these circumstances, Zhenya and Lisa will perform at the Megasport rentals with simplified content," Mishin said.
"Liza will skate without a triple axel, and Zhenya without quads. But they will try to show the programs the way the choreographer intended and how we worked on them in order to convey the meaning to the audience and earn their sympathy," the specialist specified.

So I gather the last list we got of the Russian team members was already out of date and the previous news we had received on FSU that Shanaeva & Drozd were teamed up was actually more current.

Annabelle was injured in practice this morning and didn't compete. Khuda was on fire.

Trusova  I adore her. The program is OTT, her hair is wild and she's wearing green sequins. But she looks fantastic and more buff than ever. Being in love must agree with her.

And, for those who said nobody would watch: over 8,000 viewers on you tube and the arena is packed. Just sayin....

I know it's fashionable on FSU to hate Valieva, but her new SP is simply stunning.

Messy and OTT but I liked it :D. Unfortunately, she just now said that she has a back injury and was out for a while until about a week ago. She looks happy and relaxed though, so that's good.
Liza went the 3A despite being sick earlier this week and planning a watered down routine. The flip didn't work, but who cares, this isn't a competition anyway. I hope her free is better than her short, however. Not my favorite piece from her.

Ever heard of the term hate-watching? But, I don't think there was a belief that "nobody will watch," just that a lot of people chose to not watch and will continue to not watch.

And a packed arena only means that there are about 10k people who still have the means to buy tickets for this bit of escapism in the face of a very uncertain future.
I know it's fashionable on FSU to hate Valieva, but her new SP is simply stunning.
 Countless people on FSU have, repeatedly, said they appreciate her skating skills and natural talent, but they are skeptical of how clean she is as a competitor. No one hates her. They hate the fact that she was doping.

I don't know what all she'll do in the free, but I think the program is the best she's ever had based on the SPB test skates. I look forward to seeing it later in the season.

I was smiling and laughing during Sasha's skate. She was just having a good time and that is so different for her. She's relaxed and her skating shows it.

I'm not going to comment any more on the doping issue or the Political issue in Russia.

Maybe I'm just biased against Feeling Good lol. Love Liza though, always have and always will. Speaking of 3A attempts, all three Sofias went for it without much success. One fall, one hand down, and one very underrotated. It's early in the season and as with Liza's 2F, it's not a competition so it doesn't matter (except maybe the almost half turn under). I like Muravieva the most out of the three and out of all the new seniors tbh.

I'm an Adelia fan. There's just something about her. She's tiny, but fierce.

Moskvina is the energizer bunny. She just keeps going and going and going...I thought she was stepping back.

Must be interesting conversations at home with Fedor coaching a rival team to his wife.

Not sure about some of the partner shuffles, but we'll see.

the height on Galliamov's throws is amazing. Even more amazing is Mishina's ability to land them.

Nice program by Danelian and makes me question Buyanova's interview.

It was good to see Semenenko back on the ice. I feared the head injury could have been career ending. Aliev is injured, again, but this SP looked really good in SPB, so hopefully it will later.

Most of the Russian skaters are trying something new (except Kolyada). Now, is certainly the time to experiment.

I was  at the camera shots of Sasha and Kamila while Mark was skating. Sasha was cringing and Kamila was trying to be a good friend and not laugh.

Just starting to watch this. I don't get the point of T/M's spooky version of Ave Maria but the odd choice tracks for them and the whole team. Max's hair is a normal human color again and it took me a few secs to recognize him.

When live the most enormous throws and split twists are by Tarasova/Morozov. Volosozhar/Trankov used to have them as well.

Absolutely loved Valieva.
I couldn't tell which one is Medvedeva, Scherbakova, Usacheva and Akatieva if my life depended on that. They all look the same at the age of 15. Then they change hair.
Tarasova/Morozov finally found their style and holy cow that programme by Pavluchenko/Khodykin. Glad Popova divorced him off ice only.
The men - I kind of liked Mozalev, but not necessarily related to his programme. The rest of the men were totally meh....

Indeed. Max's throws were so high, Volo really had to work at landing them. And Max had to hustle to catch up to her. That was a difference between them and Smirnov. His were small and short and that allowed Kaviguti to have more control.

I think that is the best SP P/K have had. So fast, the twist exit, pretty much everything. I will say Aliev's SP looked really good at SPB, but then he injured himself. Again. Sigh.

The extension Valieva gets on pretty much everything is just gorgeous. Her legs look much longer than they are because of her toe point. She and Trusova have injuries and are not likely to do quads in the free skate this time.

Angelopol is an extremely handsome dude.
I liked their program. The music is the "Alexander" OST.
