Suleymanova is not my type of skater but I adore her grit and will to push things.

Hus used to be coached by Szcypa in Mannheim and took a really long time coming back from injury.
Not sure if he is still her coach or if she moved to Pötzsch or Lindemann in the meantime.

Great the German Juniors got a chance for a real competition after so many events being called off both domestically and in Europe.

Great to see Wolf nailing the short. She dropped out of the National Team after last season.
The surprise of the day for me was Dempfle. I cant say I noticed her last season and here she shows up with a 3F+2T and 3Lz

Holy yikes, all the lift issues! The Crafoords missed one, H/S missed two. Haven't even seen the other 2 pairs yet... Neither Minerva or Nolan looked like they were in pain/injured, but the first lift failed and then maybe they were spooked for the second one because that one barely even got started before they gave it up. Although I'm glad they all set them down instead of trying to muscle it up and creating a disaster!

There have been so few pairs events outside of Russia, the OES's are clearly out of practice. If the Euroes miraculously happen somehow, they will at a big disadvantage. The Russians tend to run the poduim anyways, but everything pewter and down could be scary.

Finally finished the rest of the pairs (for only 4 of them it took me a hot minute lol). I'm so happy with the way Hocke/Kunkel have gelled together so quickly! I quite liked them last season and this year they've looked great the few times I've gotten to see them. They seem to be less prone to trainwreck like H/S, though I do like them a lot as well. GER has my favorite non-Russian pairs in the world.
