This company has livestreamed in the past and purchase information is here: http://www.snapshotsportsphotography.com/live/

For anyone who purchased the livestream last year - is on demand viewing available?

No, I've never seen any. (I purchased it the two previous seasons, not last year). I sure wish it was because I am booked for a conference pretty much the entire day of the senior & junior free dances:wuzrobbed.

Thanks! I might just do the day pass on Friday then since I'll be in the office on Thursday. I hope they post the times of the events soon.

Team IDC took 4 photos of the North American Cup PD starting orders (15 Novice teams invited): https://twitter.com/icedancecom/status/1156579928516767744

Wow! The North American Cup aspect has really helped with signing teams up for this portion of the novice event. When the advance novice competition was held a couple years ago, only three teams signed up for it. Now 15 teams! (Including all of the top three from the Chesapeake Open).

Sarah Rasher tweeted that she'll be "covering Lake Placid Ice Dance live tomorrow and Friday" (she's pas_deChat on Twitter).

I really like Efimova & Zhao, unfortunately I missed them skate. Maybe it’s just me but I don’t know why they don’t place higher? I’m always baffled when Cain & Davydov place as well as they do.... her posture is very uncomfortable to watch. In patterns and fd. I would think this would reflect in the judge’s scores? I do love watching Peal & Peal though.

North American Cup Novice Combined Pattern Dance Scores:

I missed Martel & Chant's scores this time. Think I have the rest. I did the math & edited in Yu & Giang and Schaub & Haddad's Starlight Waltz scores for post #10 above. (All scores subject to human error;)).

Efimova & Zhao won the compulsory portion at the Chesapeake Open. Mom thought he had a bit of a trip on one of the steps in the waltz here. I didn't see it.

I’m always baffled when Cain & Davydov place as well as they do.... her posture is very uncomfortable to watch. In patterns and fd. I would think this would reflect in the judge’s scores? I do love watching Peal & Peal though.

I think Cain & Davydov usually get the keypoints & edges. They don't win the 2nd mark. But they usually have a strong technical mark during the compulsory portion of competition. (I think Claire must have competition nerves. I've seen her literally shaking in their opening pose a few times. Reminds me of when my hands used to shake before a piano recital. Kudos to her for keeping at it!)

A few personal cheers from watching the intermediate & novice dancers today.

:cheer2:To the Peals for leading the combined scores after the pattern dances. A really good sign for them, I think, because they usually have to dig out of a hole after the PDs. The FD has been their strength throughout the three seasons I've been watching them. No matter what happens during tomorrow's FD, winning a CD here in this deep field is very good news. (Both they and Cain & Davydov used Piano Man for the waltz and then the Peals used "Good Morning" from Singing in the Rain for their quickstep. (I thought the latter was very cute. Didn't even feel like a compulsory).

:cheer2:To Epps & Gilman for winning the foxtrot pattern in intermediates. I think maybe the first time I've seen them win a CD and they are just ridiculously well packaged as a team (mini Anna & Luca) so it is great to see them bring in a competitive PD.

Both teams I've enjoyed for a while but have worried about during the pattern dance portion of events so it's great to see those technical skills developing for these "natural" performers.

I enjoyed seeing most of these novice Canadian teams for the first time! (Saunders & Oddson were here last year). Really pushes up the technical level for everyone here to have both countries in the competition, and I think a very good challenge for the top novice teams on both sides.

I was debating whether to pay for that livestream, but the website claims my email is "already registered" and thus can't set up an account, so I guess that's off the table anyway.

Is there an option to reset your password? Then you could login with your email and a new password.

Some of these teams haven't even announced their RDs yet, have they? I'm pretty sure Carolane and Shane haven't. Well, I guess we're about to find out!
