2019 Junior Worlds Mens SP & FS

Camden hasn't mastered the 3A or quad as a junior and it hardly ever happens when they turn senior. I'd rather see them try and fail. But, the US and Russia got the slots they need for the JGP so yea.

Camden just doesn't have the competitive nerves to be reliable. He'll might do an Abbott and be capable of one amazing, magical competition once every two years, but that's it. I some times wonder if his looks help him get better scores and fans than his actual skating warrants even if he does skate sensitively with the music at times. He has that Tom Z. stiffness that almost all of his skaters have and unlike other Tom Z skaters, he doesn't even go for the hardest content in Mens skating and still manages to skate badly. He also can't really do camel spins but they are much better than his novice-level camels from two seasons ago.

Great job, Tomoki! That's funny how at first they were all resigned and it looked like Tomoki was ready to walk off the platform. Then his coach burst into a huge smile when he realized Tomoki had won. What a tough competition this was. I hope Camden, Alexei, Stephen G. can all regroup and do better next season. Stephen does show a lot of promise. The fall onto his knee on the 3x looked very painful.

Where did you get that he hasn't mastered the 3A? He landed all of them this competition.

Danelian was very good, but Tomoki isn't the one overscored here.

eta: Ouch to Japan who won't have 2 spots every jgp
