2019-2020 Programs and Choreographers

I'm having trouble posting and editing on the device I'm using. I meant to add to my previous post that it was plain as day Camden skated his sp beautifully all last season, often placing first, and then considerably dropping after the fp.

Bottom line: WSS was NOT a good program for Camden. It didn't suit his aesthetic or his personality. And he's confirmed that fact. The good thing is, he learned something that hopefully will help him as he moves forward in his career.

Cinema Paradiso for Bradie...relatively soft music. Interesting choice after so many people liked her fiery SP last year.

Maybe Richaud is trying to help Bradie soften some of her movements, which will benefit her in the long-term. Right now, she relies on a lot of aggressive angular movements but she's less successful moving her upper-body in-between her choreographed arm poses.

Charlie is so popular, eh! Is he working with any of the Florida teams again on choreo? This is going to be interesting seeing if Charlie was able to help bring more personality out of Tarasova/Morosov. T/M have obviously been trying everything to little avail in terms of excitement, but the judges are always rewarding their tech abilities, even with mistakes.

James/Cipres have certainly been setting the pace in pairs for the past three seasons with the help of John Z's team (including Silvia Fontana & Jeremy Barrett), and choreographers, John Kerr, Charlie White, and Guillaume Cizeron. In 2017-2018, Duhamel/Radford made some major changes just to work with Kerr and Zimmerman. Plus, some teams emulated costumes of J/C and a number of teams began adopting the style of music and movement that J/C were so successful with. Now, many teams wish to work with Charlie White. That's great.

In addition to his fp choreography for J/C, Charlie created wonderful programs for Denney/Frazier as well last season. I believe Charlie worked with D/F again for this season, but I haven't heard who J/C are working with. I love how modest Charlie is about the choreographic success he has achieved with a number of skaters. He prefers to give credit to the skaters, as we saw in @clairecloutier's recent interview with Charlie and Meryl on icedance.com.

I believe Charlie worked with D/F again for this season

It was previously announced that Denney/Frazier are having Renee Roca update their former Lion King fp, and I don't see anything listed for their next season sp. Hopefully, they will be bringing back the sp Charlie White choreographed for them last season, which was a good one for them.

Meanwhile, in addition to working on T/M's fp (music unknown), Charlie White also choreographed Kayne/O'Shea's sp (Sweet Dreams - Eurythmics).

Other busy choreographers this season for pairs teams include Julie Marcotte, Pasquale Camerlengo, Benoit Richaud, Massimo Scali, et al. In addition, former skaters Misha Ge, Eric Radford and Luca Lanotte are choreographing for particular teams.

Nice to see Sondre basically invading all my playlists to construct his programs. Was wondering when Seafret would make more headway into skating although his track choices are a bit subdued. I would have included BE THERE to mix in with the slow, but whatever works.

Looks like Jennifer Thomas has suddenly become a thing. I mean, I loved STORM and would love to see that done again but I fear she's going to occupy the space in my head vacated by Yanni: Live from the Acropolis, which I have had the pleasure of not thinking about for the better part of a decade.
