2019-2020 Programs and Choreographers

I love that program. It's one of the few skating programs I don't mind seeing over and over. This child is just exquisite.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see that program modified and brought back in the Olympic year. It's too good not to be.

Shindler's List seems like an odd choice for a pair. I will be interested to see it.

Basin posted a short clip of the programme with a note "The one who saves just one life, saves the World".

He's done a wonderful exhibition program to Chaplin. One of the best Chaplin programs ever, so it makes perfect sense to go for it as a FS.
I love all Chaplin theme programmes, but Kolyada's by far is one of the best. It would be interesting to see how he transfers from exhibition one to a competitive one.

I don't think they'd do more disco programs (and Saturday Night Fever wouldn't be allowed as an RD anyway). I do expect them to aim for a similar sort of retro entertainment vibe, but probably with a different musical/dance genre.

ASIB is brilliant. That moment during the song where Lady Gaga belts will cause the crowds to erupt if the skater(s) can hit it. Someone like Tarasova and Morozov could do some things with that soundtrack. It balances their elegance and power with their continual desire to be current.

eta Maybe Zach and Madison will add Why did You Do That to a medley. They can dance to the lyrics, Why'd you come around with an ass like that.

Not the biggest fan of "Shallow" but I can see an incredible highlight from Maddie and Zach from the Gaga belting out moment. I just hope they don't do that curve lift during that part just because that'd be a bit predictable. I'd prefer something like that amazing straightline lift they did during their Tron FD.

H/D will need to come up with a spectacular new lift that's way more impressive than any of their previous ones in order to match the big Gaga belting out moment. Their lifts have always been pretty meh IMO.
