Truly happy that all three of them skated well, but I don’t seeAmber’s presentation as being anywhere near Isabeau’s. Give Amber the TES and penalize Isabeau on bad toe jumps, but also recognize who skates beautifully to the music.

I liked Gaga and it needs more oomph and mileage. I have no worries about Alysa, she always takes the criticism and gets better. And that dress is a marvel.

Seriously, this is the best team we've sent in a long time. I love that all three have different styles, different strengths, different aesthetics. I cannot believe none of them cracked; it probably helps that they're all friends and supporting each other. I hope they have the most epic (wholesome) slumber party.

Every time Alysa says "listen..." I'm scared she's gonna say "naw, I'm retiring again."

Well, that was another fabulous night of skating. I hope Amber, Alysa and Isabeau can skate as well at the Olympics as they have here at the US Nationals because they all have been simply delightful to watch.

And, now I'm off to bed. A long day tomorrow (starting with family brunch perpared by moi) and then TONS of skating at both Cdn. and US Nats. Does a weekend get any better than this?

Good night, all.

From my perspective in the audience, Isabeau is a lot like Sasha Cohen, beautifully musical but remote. Amber's heart-on-her-sleeve emotion blasts past the barriers onto the audience. The nearly sold out crowd reaction here clearly favored Amber and Alysa over Isabeau. 🤷‍♂️

I don't mind being the odd one out. I liked it, all of it--hair, dress, the whole look. 🤷‍♀️ I think it was overly loose in parts, and I almost think she should go to 4CC to get some international feedback.
Honestly, Alysa is THAT girl who would decide to go to 4CCs - just for the reason you cite. I guess we'll know on Sunday whether or not she does just that.

The top five were outstanding.

Bradie delivered, she put it all on the line. What a proud moment for her. A well deserved standing ovation.
Sarah E's quirky program came across for me, at last. Risky and offbeat and technically strong.
Isabeau looked more powerful than I've ever seen her. This program will go over huge in Milan.
Alysa's new FS was energetic and fun. So easy for her. Almost nonchalant at times.
Amber finally got her moment to surpass all her previous skates, with soul, with heart. A MASSIVE win.

I really wish Alysa had gotten this program out earlier she's at a disadvantage over other skaters who have settled into their programs. Maybe she should have just stuck with Macarthur park even if the magic of that program was gone. Alysa really should have gone for the 3axel she knows if some of the other skaters are clean that she will lose.

I admire Alysa for busting the pwetty pwincess stereotype, but I just can't with that hair. It looks like a dead skunk.
It is Gaga after all, but at least she didn’t wear a meat dress. My local network cut out to local news at the end of Alysa’s program, but then came back for her scores. I hope I can pick it up on Peacock.

So great that Amber fought it out under pressure.

Loved Isabeau’s program the most.
