Tech panel will be the same for the IE. I think it's good that V/M now have the advantage of what this particular panel is looking for (because each tech panel values different things - the joys of a subjective sport).

The twizzle would've been a L4, if not for the stumble. Every other element was called as a L4 (with a panel that isn't exactly "friendly"). That just means all they need to do is skate the program clean - which we already know they're capable of - and they'll get a huge score. So, who cares...

Guys, I'm so zen about this season. I finally got around to watching CoC, and P/C skated wonderfully, however, it only confirmed (IMO) that V/M have the better programs overall; they just exude a maturity across the ice that cannot be matched. Maybe it's because I had to sit through 2010-2014...

I just looked over the protocols and V/M scored 18 perfect 10s within the Performance, Composition and Interpretation sections of the PCs. It's safe to say that the judging panel is really responding to this program - regardless of what the skating media or fandom is saying. I can't even imagine...

The technical mark will improve, of that I have no doubt. I'm more happy that the program as a whole concept is really coming together and they have already intensified the emotion of both parts of the program compared to ACI. I loved all the superficial changes as well - Tessa's new dress...

Last season, W/P got consistently higher PCs than G/P but because they kept making major technical mistakes, it held them back. I'm sure they've improved tenfold since ACI, and skating on home ice for your first Grand Prix of the season has to have its advantages.

There was CBC commentary with Kurt and Carol that I watched on TV. She was really complimentary of how strong a lot of their elements were already, especially the flow and speed they achieved into and out of their lifts, as well as the twizzles (of course).
