U.S. Women [#5]: Remain on the Dance Floor

This is really disrespectful to a performance at 4CCs that just missed the podium and behind two skaters who ultimately placed in the top 10 at Worlds including the bronze medalist.

Valieva Banned for Four Years, Effective December 25, 2021

What precedent? Raducan’s test was from the AA and not the team event. And frankly she shouldn’t have been allowed to compete in event finals because of that…

2023 - 2024 March to the Super Bowl - Rodgers, Allen, Purdy, Burrows, Hurts, Mahomes et all

I get the frustration the 49ers had with JimmyG, but if Lance (nothing against him personally, how I'd feel regardless of whoever the other QB is) really doesn't pan out total schadenfreude for me.

Football 2022-2023, Quarterbacks, Tight ends...men in tight pants

I do think he's regressing, but to be fair the TB OL has been hit pretty hard with some injuries that probably amplify any drop in his level of play.

Great long programs by pairs in the Olympics

I thought the 2002 skate was a bit weak for their standards. Zhao really struggled with some of those lifts.

From Russia With Love [#40]: Summer 2021 & into the Olympic season

This is exactly what happened with the Romanians in Sydney. A few members of the team had also taken Sudafed, but were taller/bigger than Raducan and why they didn't test positive.

Alysa Liu Switches to Colorado Coaching Team

I think it was indeed a major transformation. However, watching even 'mid-tier' skaters like Higuchi and You immediately after Liu was a huge revelation at how much work still needs to be done to get to the next level. The skating doesn't look nearly as big or fast. I think for some this...

U.S. Women [#2]: The Unbearable Lightness of Beijing

The jump technique Laura taught IS WHY Alysa is having trouble now.

    Unpopular Opinions

    1. Going back and rewatching it now, I don't think Orchid was really that much better than Love Story. What I mean is that while it's a beautiful program, the same flaws are there - large gaps where they skate apart with minimal / zero touching. 2. Never got the hype about Starr Andrews.

    Gymnastics News #23: Defying Gravity

I think there's a very realistic possibility that the US doesn't win any medals at Worlds this year.

Olympic Gold/Silver medallists with clean SP and LP

I remember Arakawa saying that she intentionally downgraded from two triple-triples to one, but ended up missing the one she planned to do.

Gymnastic news #22 - Tokyo or bust

I think that's more a consequence of the qualification rules than an outright attempt to screw Becky over. If you're trying to qualify a team for the Olympics via Worlds, there's no reason why you would want one of your strongest gymnasts to not be on each of your world teams, if you don't have...
