2026 US Nationals Pairs FS "Ghosted (by my triples)"

I mean, it's not like our other pairs jump successfully on a regular basis. Emily and Spencer just have a little extra bit of zhuzh and never have weird huge grins in the wrong parts of the music.
That's what I love about them. Their expressions always match the music.

Well, there's the bar for the rest of the teams. We'll see what comes to pass in several hours.

There is something about Emily’s jumps that are more disruptive? Maybe it’s that she pops a lot and pops and falls? I’m not sure. But I struggle with them. (But I like them!)

And since Spencer’s injuries, some of the lifts look scary/out of control.

We'll have to wait forever to find out but my prediction is Chan & Howe pull up to 3rd or 4th - behind Efimova & Mitrofanov, KamoO, and maybe McPark.
I dunno... I think they'll certainly pull up to no worse than 5th. FlorWang have struggled with lifts this season and I don't think they're even attempting two throw triples. LiuBed are dealing with Chelsea's mystery illness which can't be a good thing for the FS. And I'm sure that at least one of teams in the top 5 will have a bad enough FS that drops them behind ChanHowe. Beyond that, I'd actually be pretty sad if the rest of the top 5 did so poorly they couldn't beat ChanHowe's very beatable 186.52 this evening.

Everything seemed off today. Even their lifts were a little off--not quite as stretched out or high, I swear Spencer had a moment on that last lift.

I know I'm in the minority but I feel like this is a team that reached its peak a couple of seasons ago and would have been better off it they had split. Imagine Chan/Nagy and Effimova/Spencer. All of them could have gone to the Olys.

This is a perfect world where obviously we would have three spots, not leaving out Kam/O'Shea. For all of Kam's jump issues and their age difference, I really like these two together.

This is a bizarre trivia game. I swear, Rusty is trying to be the Temu version of Ryan Seacrest

She still can't go to the Olympics, even with a different partner who is a US citizen. I like the EfiMit partnership and think it's a good one.

I do agree that ChanHowe peaked a couple seasons ago. His shoulder injury & the multiple surgeries he needed to come back from that really destroyed the solid momentum they'd built up during the 2022-23 season.

Listen, this is my fantasy pairings. I'm not letting little things like "citizenship" and "reality" get in the way of a good story. I think we've well established I am here for glitter and pretty people and questionable life choices. I am not here for "true lutzes" and "spin rotations" and other fake news.

Have some ayehuasca.

It would have been very odd though for Chan & Howe to split as reigning National Silver medalists while he was recovering from shoulder surgery.

That said, I think I would have enjoyed seeing Chan & Fernandez and McBeath & Howe.

Yesss, big ups to Chan and Fernandez. Not sure about McBeath and Howe because I do really like her with Parkman, but you know, I'd be down for it. I'll play it out in my head and let you know how it goes.

I actually want Flores & Parkman to team up - she needs a bigger guy than Luke.

in theory, if we steal a country can we send those people to the olympics for us? (sort of kidding)
