It’s interesting to hear Jean-Luc on the various teams. Sometimes what he leaves out is interesting, eg praising Bye’s edges and not saying anything about Pate.

Noticed this too. Hes very specific about which teams and what he’s willing to compliment and give praise to. Still learning a ton from his commentary.

Savary is so good. The best spins, quite possibly the best choreography. If he skates a clean sheet he SHOULD be in the final group.

Jason almost went right into Martynov who was mid-air/landing an Axel.

I mean, what do they do if his 3A isn't where it needs to be? Put someone like Torgy or Naumov on the team and tell them to water down their FS for the TE to go clean?

I do wonder how committed they are to Jason and what happens if he comes in like 4th or 5th which to me has an equal chance of happening as his being 2nd or 3rd at this point

They only received negative feedback on the RD, so this one is squarely on the judges. They apparently want generic slop.

Listening to the useless input from Kaitlyn Weaver during Junior Ice Dance at Canadian Nats that doesn't surprise me.
So frustrating and uninformative to listen to her inane commentary that I am not surprised skaters and coaches struggled putting together RDs this season.

oh i don't have a problem with him making the team i'm just wondering about theoretricals given what was said about him being told his axel was an issue for them i have to focus my nervous energy somewhere lol

According to the Colored Schedule Women’s Practice starts at 2PM CT. So probably not for about 6 more minutes.

Jason almost went right into Martynov who was mid-air/landing an Axel.

He is one of my faves. In Wichita I met him through another volunteer who is good friends with him. He is so kind too, so I’m glad I got to tell him how much I love his skating.
