But that's not even true. Nakai and Watanabe have higher base value for doing a Lutz+toe instead of a flip+toe.

I had to go look this up, because I was sure the ISU had equalised the flip and lutz value, but clearly I've not been paying attention, because they did that in 2020 and I totally missed they'd since changed it back.

I love Amber but I really wish her free program music wasn't such a snooze fest.

Other than the shaky final loop that was as good as Amber could do. Probably her best FS this season. Good for her beating back her demons.

Amber needs more going on between jumps. More extensions, better positions, speed, etc. Can anything be done before Olys? Wonderful skate for her, though.

I always forget why the rainbow flags for Amber. What is she? Bisexual? Non-binary? Bilingual? Multifocal?

She got through it. Seemed cautious and not projecting out as much, but goodness - that was SO important for her to deliver and she did. Excellent program to head into Nats and beyond!
