2025 Skate Canada Free Dance PBP - I Know What You Did Less One Ear

I know the USFS threw a lot of support behind MIDA at its formation, but I haven't seen anything out of that school in their three seasons of existence that make me think they've got the special sauce needed to push their teams into greatness.
I think the Whites needed to cut their teeth in novice and junior. They were not ready to start with seniors making worlds teams and it shows.

I like how they interact with each other on ice. He has the teknik and she has the performance. Not a bad combination.
I think they have a lot of promise and the FD is disjointed but interesting. Maybe a coaching change and maybe a different choreographer. How many points did they lose in the last elements?

Disappointing comp for both mid-rank US teams. And Somerville is stuck until he changes partners, she will never have the extension and edges and performance ability needed to advance.

Wow, loved that from Jen & Ben. This program has great composition, ever element feels natural to the program and where it needs to be. Love that moment where the end of the twizzles immediately starts the choreo steps. And then end on a great combination lift that goes so well with the music. The program construction is so good, atypical, and such a breath of fresh air.

Very enjoyable performance, and a good skate for this team. Benjamin is a bit stiff for my tastes in ice dance, but he is a dependable partner for Jennifer as she performs the various tricks in the program.

The Germans seem to have improved and are more interesting, the crowd was pretty into the program especially toward the end. Risky to do the twizzles right in front of the judges, credit to them.
