2025 Skate Canada Rhythm Dance PBP - I'm Too Spooky

You know things are bad when a Macarena program sounds daring and avant-garde to me.
I need some Roger Rabbit moves. Some Macarena. Electric slide boogie. I would take Achy Breaky/Boot Scootin Boogy at this point. I'm kind of surprised some of the Canadian or American teams didn't go a country route--there were A LOT of 90s country line dance that would fit the beat requirement and look more natural in ice dance.

A little tentative that will hopefully lessen over the season. Of the top teams, my favourite RD. Piper looks great, and the best midline sequence.

I did really enjoy G/P, but that score was cooked for this. Should be better later on, though. 6.00 GOE for one element? That's some Canflation.

I did not hate G/P as much as I thought I would. I understand her costume now that I've seen the RD. I still don't like it, but I get what they're going for. I'm reserving judgement--I think it COULD be good with some tweaks. I like the idea.

I'd still have LaGacs in first cause I'm like that.

I think one of the reasons Allison and Saulius keep scoring so well is they had to be end of season ready basically as soon as the season started. They do look better and more conditioned and they are keeping up better with their music than other teams are. I am willing to give other skaters some grace there but also if they do a BPM requirement on next seasons RD's I am going to find Shawn Rettstatt and throw spoons at him.

I don't have a passport that's not going to happen.

hmmm, underwhelming program from G/P. They didn't werk. So much literal lyrical handography and then nothing during all the "turn to the left! turn to the right!". I would expect them (their choreography) to be so much fiercer than this.

The reverse cunniliftus was the most notable part of the program
Didn't they do their twizzles to the left and then to the right during that part?
Or did I imagine that?

On screen she was called level 2. I couldn't point it out but something was definitely off I think on the second one for sure.

ETA: Never mind Tony has said I was wrong and he knows more than I do.
No, I disagree. There was something off about her twizzles too in real time and I saw it too. It just didn't feel like her blade was very deep in the ice or secure on either of the twizzles, but it was especially so on the second twizzle like you noted.
