2025 Skate Canada Rhythm Dance PBP - I'm Too Spooky

Levels on the twizzles are not great. There wasn't a lot of unison, for one thing.
She was really wobbling on top of the ice during the first twizzle, which I'm guessing is the reason for her L2 call.

Emily Bratti/Ian Somerville 🇺🇸
Coach: Greg Zuerlein, Charlie White, Tanith White
Music: Vogue, Walk 4 Me

Pattern Dance Type Step Sequence 2 (1 after review)
Sequential Twizzles W:2 M:3 (W:1 M:3 after review)
Choreo Rhythm Sequence
Midline Step Sequence W:1 M:2

Rotational Lift 4

More solid than there first event which just meant that Ian stayed on his feet, but also a stronger, and more dynamic presentation. Levels are not great.

I liked Emily and Ian's Vogue. I like their costumes too (particularly hers). I know there were some level issues and it probably wasn't the best they can do .... but (as my brother-in-law stated emphatically after he had painted the bathroom a questionable colour) .... well, I like it!

There's just not enough (almost any) voguing in this program. Serious revamp needed.

I think they were. less sloppy in France. I enjoy this program even if it's not always skated the best.
Also unless they can sort out the 2000's copyright issues they've pretty much done all the decades anyway unless they want to start engaging with the 1930's and 40's.
Those decades had a lot of dance-y music at least.

omg their response to that score i'm crying sorry to them but it was hilarious
It is discouraging to feel you gave your best, yes maybe with a little mistake but still not even close to a 70 plus

guys know they are going nowhere unfortunately

This belongs in a different closed-off forum probably, but having talked with a few recently retired skaters about the decades dances after discussing on Youtube, they told me Weaver is very in favor of them and defends it to no end :-P
She’s certainly keen on them on the CBC broadcast. I might need to pretend to be in Europe and switch to the ISU feed if she keeps talking them up.

I think this team has been undermarked a lot in the past, even though the panel and judges kinda went for them at Worlds in the RD.

I'd say they even have better foundations than R/A :-P

Twizzles slow standard here, and par for the course that the music doesn't really do much.

Benjamin has this hockey player doing figure skating look but it works, at least he has some style and sense of movement for big german guy that's something you have to give credit

Bratti/Somerville are a team I forget about two seconds before they stop the program. They just give off middle-of-the-pack vibes. Can't wait to see them and Pate/Bye battle it our for 4CC for the next four years.

VR/S. THIS is the 90s feckery we need. This is some old school Euros nonsense and I love it. I'm picturing D/LM skate this in my head and it's epic y'all.

Nice program for this team, and highlighting Jennifer very well.
