What a bunch of bullshit scoring tonight. Mone didn't deserve that gift and Isabeau should have had the lead.

I think she has the Olympic spot locked up.
You think it's going to take 50 years?Once AI comes to the ISU in 50 years to call the jumps, you all gonna be pissy when 89 year old Tony is vindicated from all these years of whining about looking the other way because 'tHe bAd AngLe'

I think it's supposed to be like a Bardot neckline--a sort of horizontal piece/shawl that extends all around the shoulders. It typically is wider than what is on Isabeau's dress and if there is any space at all in back between the bottom of the shawl and dress it's quite minimal. The problem with this dress design in real life is you cannot raise your arms. They tried to compromise here and it simply looks weird. Short sleeves with a sweetheart neckline, and not low in the back, would have worked fine and looked OK for the period she's going for. Or sleeveless.Isabeau with a lack of whickety whack, but even with clean costume lines she ends up with a yoke around her shoulders. Is this a trick to keep her from raising her shoulders?
It took them 25 years to get out of the 90s with some of the concepts started last season. Maybe even the 80s in which case add 10 years to it.You think it's going to take 50 years?

True. I think the technology will be there sooner. We'll just see it in other sports first. It took them 25 years to get out of the 90s. Maybe even the 80s in which case add 10 years to it.
Would you let them fatally remove your brain to upload it into the training data, if it meant you could be right forever?Once AI comes to the ISU in 50 years to call the jumps, you all gonna be pissy when 89 year old Tony is vindicated from all these years of whining about looking the other way because 'tHe bAd AngLe'
I mean, I'm an organ donorWould you let them fatally remove your brain to upload it into the training data, if it meant you could be right forever?
Maybe that's why it takes so long - you made them wait till you were 89.I mean, I'm an organ donor![]()
Last post on this topic for mebut I think Nakai's 3A was much more rotated than Tennell's 3Lz+3T.. that one call was the most ridiculous of the night.
over Isabeau Levito’s scoring and calling vs. Mone here. The slow mo on Mone’s double axel was definitely under but Chris said the panel didn’t even review it. Isabeau is such the total package with great interpretation and character in this music, wonderful smooth skating from one element to the next. No windmill arms at all, thank god (makes me a devoted fan for life because almost every other female skater windmills til the cows come home). Just the picture of classical, beautiful pure skating to the music overall standout. I think that someone wanted to make sure that there was no costume malfunction, which might have been inevitable if the trsm designer had followed the inspiration and accompanying choreography more closely.Isabeau with a lack of whickety whack, but even with clean costume lines she ends up with a yoke around her shoulders. Born in Moscow. Her family moved to Canada a few years ago. According to her ISU bio, she never skated internationally for Russia, and she was given a release. And is the new Canadian girl from Russia too?
Caller hitting the booze or something it isn't the first or last time skate canada has very questionable scores.

I remember reading recently s'thing along the lines of - her parents asked around, who would be the best coach for her to train with in Canada and was told McLeodBorn in Moscow. Her family moved to Canada a few years ago. According to her ISU bio, she never skated internationally for Russia, and she was given a release.
I assume they settled in the Vancouver area, if she's coached by McLeod. There are plenty of well-connected singles coaches in Ontario and Quebec.
