Overall best I’ve seen Adam skate. The first three jumps warranted +4 or more. He was controlled where he needed to be and wild where he needed to be. The 3A+2A appeared ro miss the bonus by 2-3 seconds.

Ilia will need to bring it to win the free skate.

The 4T+3T didn't warrant a +4. No way. But the first two absolutely yes.

Tough start, but pulled it together, and delivered some nice triple Axels.

Tsuboi - LOL - totally guessed his music just by his costume. Japanese skaters never fail in their willingness to pander during an Olympic season. In 4 years, it will be all Debussy, Piaf and Celine Dion (yeah, yeah, she's not French, but she closed out the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, 'nuff said). This is an inauspicious start for Tsuboi and I expect him to fall far in the standings. I'd have him behind Britschgi, but he had a pretty sizable lead after the SP, so it will be close.

Here we go with the attitude again nice and early. You said the Japanese are pandering in the Olympic season. I pointed out that he already had this before and maybe just didn't want or have resources for a new one.

You watch everything. You definitely saw him more than once last year but that's not the point.
