Credible skate from Max. Kept the negative GoEs to a minimum and should get the base value for both quads. He’s keeping himself in outside contention for an Olympic spot. Shame on the simple error on the 3S. I was expecting a 3Lo there.

Naumov

4s with hand down, 3a held, 4s low landing and spins out before adding 2t. Despite all the red GOE, he’s managed more content than usual, which is a good step for him, artful choreo sequence, steps out of 3s, nice carriage and posture

That was very respectable for Naumov.

He looks like he needs a bit more stamina right now to push through the end.

After seemingly endless seasons of Aymoz using this music I'd hoped we'd get a break from it.

Max a bit all over the board, some really nice elements but just as many sloppy ones.

Sigh. Pitot had to literally do half of what he's done in the first 4 elements and he'd most likely have the Olympic spot wrapped up and the far away favorite to get it.

Pitot’s jumps have hang time. I know he used to have quads and I’m surprised he’s not attempting them given how big his triples are.

3a-2t, 3f, jumps still in the jr department, but nice and clean with good exiting edge, long rest break but at least he’s on one knee and not laying down, 3z-2a-2a, step sequence crawling at end. Nice skate. Time to add a quad

I’ve been half watching. Nice to see Torgy and Max with credible skates. Frangi’s not going to Milan unless someone’s injured and he starts nailing every element.

Took out the quadruple Salchow, and skated a clean free skate.

155.48 = 2nd Place
233.98 = 1st Place

Pitot doesn't have the edge quality of the other French skaters here, but going perfectly clean goes a long way in making himself stand out.

Wow, was that Pitot's best skate ever? I really enjoyed that, even if the program itself is not my favorite for him. And he really doesn't have the skating skills to pull of ending with a step sequence and spin.

And yes, I'm with everyone. I wish he did this at the Oly Qualifier.

He gets beautiful snap in the jumps once they are all the way up. That opening was a lot better than what we've seen from him basically since Euros.
