GPdF 2025 PBP - Women's FS: “Chick-a-cheater”

This is more in the style of what I want and like from Kaori, but I don't think anything is touching her 2022 free skate or even some of her older stuff. This Olympic cycle just really hasn't done it for me. The choreographers have pulled her identity away and thrown a bunch of random styles at her telling her they would work.

The jumps don't look smooth at all at this point, but not enough to dock massive GOE for. Lutz still deserves the e forever and always.

I don't love this program for Kaori, but when she's on, she's on.

Wow wow wow. Such fast powerful smooth skating. And the jumps (aside from the lutz) looked really good. She's upped the ante this season. The jump entrances are more integrated and less telegraphed. The choreo and transitions aren't really there, but the program gives such a good impression.

I had written Kaori off for Oly Gold, but she's back in it now. Wow.

I don't think Kaori does much of anything with this music, its more like background music. Can't argue with her skating skills and jumping prowess.

I wish she would skate to something that highlights her personality.

Strong skate technically, and the performance was good, and the program built nicely to the climax.
