2025 Grand Prix Assignments

I'm asking for the USA. Usually the GP events are shown on Peacock and some channel owned by NBC in addition to ISU YouTube. I'm wondering if anyone has seen a schedule; it's usually out by now since the first GP event is coming up soon this month.

USFS hasn't released the official schedule yet, but my YouTubeTV is picking up an NBC broadcast on Oct. 18 at 3:30ET. It's labeled "Skate America" but I'm assuming it's the GP France.

Tiles are up on Peacock when you search "figure skating". First event is women at 9 am Pacific on October 17.
If this is posted in the wrong place, feel free to move.

With NBC/Comcast splitting most of their "cable channels" to Versant, I wonder where the skating broadcasts will end up. Of course big NBC will have the premier broadcasts (SkAm, Nats) as they see fit, but what about those others that were carried on USA or CNBC or Bravo? Will Peacock be the go to?

Could this be a preview of how the Winter Olympics will be handled as well?

The only competition Pulkinen compete in after 2025 Nationals is 2025 Four Continents, where he placed 8th with a total of 217.25. Even were he to be back on the Nationals podium, by not competing this Fall and and not being a prior Olympic medalist, he doesn’t meet the criteria for a discretionary pick and were he to partition, it should be rejected; however, 2/3 of the Selection Committee could tie themselves in knots if the GP results are underwhelming/not definitive, and the Nationals results are the same or an anomaly.

I don’t underestimate USFS’s TPTB to tie themselves into knots, but it’s hard to see why they would in this case.

So, Tali/Lafornara are dealing with an injury to Noah.

This may take them out of SkAm, we'll just have to wait and see.

Others to keep an eye on for potential injury withdrawals include Sota Yamamoto (CoC & Finlandia) as he withdrew from Trialeti this past weekend with a back injury. And it's been reported that Wakaba Higuchi (NHK & SkAm) is also dealing with foot or ankle pain again, so keep any eye on her over the coming weeks too.

And, of course, continue to watch for signs of life from Laurin/Ethier, Lucas Broussard & Niina Petrokina's recovery.

Also - has anyone seen Nina Pinzarrone compete yet this fall?

Sofia Samodelkina is back on the ice this past week, so she should, hopefully, be good to go for NHK - and is the next in line for an invitation should either Higuchi or Petrokina withdraw.
