Are you ready for some Football (NFL style) - 2025/2026 season?

@Debbie S - I'm in KC to watch the game. I read this morning Chris Jones is on the injured list, that will be advantage to Ravens. Xavier is supposed to play, but I thought that last week.

Anyway, it should be a good game
Have fun! After last week's debacle, the Ravens need a win.

I'm glad it's the later aftn game. My mom and I have our first show of the theater season...Water for Elephants...at 1. We should be home in time for kickoff.

I read it was something personal. I hope all is well with him and his family.

Checking out Ryder Cup where the Americans are getting their arses handed to them yet again! We have most of the top players, but Euros seem to play as a team! Our players are more worried about compensation, family amenities, etc.! Such an embarrassment! :wall:

We are struggling against the mediocre Falcons. Sigh. How are you feeling, Jaden?

Teams aren't as superior to one another; esp. from wk. to wk.! They all will struggle at times; look at KC! Almost a "must win" vs Baltimore today w/ them already down 1-2 & a loss to Div. rival Chargers! We'll see how they hold up in NY against the Giants! The time difference might come into play! Terribly unfair for Cal. teams to play so early in the morning for them! :scream::wall::40beers::eek:

His aunt died and he was at the funeral earlier this week. The Chiefs newsletter i get, said it would be up to him at game time. But who knows
It's freaking 89 degrees. We have club house access now. Which is cooler ish.

I'm sorry for his loss. I'm happy the team has given him the time he needs.

Got out of garage after 20 min, then major jam getting home b/c multiple lanes on the major thoroughfare through downtown are blocked off for some reason...we couldn't figure it out, it's not like there were any abnormalities on the roadway, just cones.

Anyway, turned it on a few min ago and I see the Ravens already scored...whee! On their first possession?

Yep

I stopped watching to do some chores and I see it's gotten even worse.

It's looking like I won't have to worry about missing playoff games while at Nats or Olys.

Well, maybe I won't be home in time for kickoff. Currently on garage floor 7 and not moving. And we walked out the minute the show ended.
Your team is depleted. My team is on the mend. Makes a huge difference. If we could have healthy teams we might know more about where we stand. Hopefully we will all be whole sooner than later.

I hope our skating favorites do better in Milan than our NFL teams are doing. Of course, the Commanders are missing quarterback, best receiver and best tight end, or so I console myself.

I have had a ridiculously amazing and happy sports weekend....I fully expect the Bengals to throw water all over that in their game tomorrow night, LMAO   :D

Mr Mac rarely watches football in the same room as me. But I saw the Chiefs rout the Ravens and all I have to say is that the CBS announcing team are really mid. Most of their comments are inane and rarely insightful. And their on-field announcer has real Andrea Joyce energy.

We're watching Peacock now and their on-air team doing highlights of games played so far were more insightful during the Chiefs-Ravens clip than the CBS team was during the entire game! Their on-field interviewer asked an interesting question of one of the caoches too.

The whole broadcast has a lot more pep and pizzazz as well but I don't care about that so much if the commentary is good.

P.S. I heard Taylor Swift was asked to do the half-time show for this year's Super Bowl and turned them down. I'm waiting for Swift-haters to tear her apart for this. Just like they would have if she'd accepted.

Of the CBS announcers I like Kevin Harlan and also Ian Eagle. In fact they are my favorites across any network. I did appreciate the respect for Spags and the defense today. Sometimes they are lost in the shuffle.

There were two Raven fans sitting in front of me. They left after the first quarter (I don't think they went to the club house for air-conditioning, I think they probably left).

The two guys (KC fans) behind me were huffing and puffing how they could coach better than Andy. It really was 92°F the last week of September.

My son was there! That's his school bus. Cattaraugus-Little Valley. He was so excited! They've been collecting since school started.

Of course the Patriots won...

I watched FS1 where they seem to feel NE's found a keeper in this QB! I haven't seen him or Indy's new star, D. Jones; sitting at 3-1! Very impressive when supposed good teams like Baltimore are 1-3! My KC Chiefs are back on course w/ the return of key players! Mahomes went nuts w/ 4 TD's, destroying The Ravens after quite a few games appearing avg. or mediocre! :40beers: 😱:grandpa:;)

You know I would have enjoyed going to one of the Covid games when everyone was seated far away from one another. You wouldn’t have to put up with idiots.

They're hard to avoid these days! We're breeding idiots as our Prez. sets the NOW low standards that's rewarded for some reason! What else is going to happen but a coursening of behavior; esp. in public? It's a free-4-all out there which is why you can't pay me to go to large public affairs or sporting events! You're guaranteed to have your senses assaulted in so many ways! I'm old, but have enuf energy to do most anything! I choose to w/ draw as I get "breaking news" of an assault, stabbing, or shooting w/in a couple blocks of my home in Downtown Chgo.! It sounds worse than it is as I usually go about my business going to the grocery store, picking up "take-out," & jumping on public transportation! END RANT! :wall: :grandpa::rolleyes:
