Are you ready for some Football (NFL style) - 2025/2026 season?

That is what Coach Reid says when the Chiefs barely get by a team they were supposed to trounce. A W is a W. My team starts 0-2 and it doesn't get any easier next week with the Ravens. I have to stay I love how D. Hopkins has fit into their offense so seamlessly.

And now I wonder if the Kirk shooting has touched Taylor Swift. She came into the stadium behind a rolling bulletproof screen, had the suite windows tinted and asked Fox Sports not to mention her or show her. I know Kirk had spoken about her a week or two before the shooting and of course he wasn't a fan. Scary times.

It had to balance out sooner or later! The good times can't continue to roll on forever! KC's been as successful as any dynastic team not only winnng their Div. yr. after yr., but hosting the AFC Chp. Game just about every playoff! When NE had their 2 runs, their Div. couldn't have been weaker no matter the signing of Tyreek Hill in Miami! What an idiot leaving his situation for a few bucks! It was truly short-sighted of him & his agent! His connection to Mahomes could have rivaled Montana/Rice, Aikman/ Irving, & Bradshaw/Swan! I think KC will limp along, but still make the playoff; though weakened! Upsets happen! :wall: 😱:D

Kelce is washed he should have called it quits after last year. He's done everything he can in football but it's obvious he can't even make the plays he used to make in his sleep. Now he can't even catch the ball it happens age gets us all at some point.

That loss was on Kelce IMO! Terrible fumble into the arms of his defender! It was right in there! So disappointing! :wall:😱

I'm not ready to give up on old 87 yet. I did like he ran off route (as usual) and Mahomes seemed to know exactly what he was doing. But yeah that sure TD was a stinger.

I agree about Tyreek. Coulda, shoulda, woulda but he was already complaining in KC that he wasn't getting enough passes from Mahomes and the Kelce/Mahomes duo did overshadow the other receivers. Of course I'm not sure he's doing much of anything now in Miami.

Troy and Joe are so good with insight. An injured player left the field - "oh man, he's such a good player. It's too bad if he can't return"

Like anyone playing in the NFL isn't a good player?

I thought of you, Heather, when the reports of Burrow being in a boot
Seems to me there are a lot of injuries to key players for the 2nd weeks of the season.

Players say they don't "purposefully try to injure one another," but we all know that's BS! It's why I have the least respect for football players beside them being "boneheads" who don't seem to know the rules of their own game! The unnecessary hits out of bounds just drives me to distraction! Why do you try to hurt your sports w/ the skilled players being knocked out? More penalties need to be heeped on to discourage them from trying to mame one another! :wall: :grandpa:

I agree. I saw one to Mahomes that left me saying hhhhmmmmm. He was tackled legitimately and was on the ground but then another player had his back to Mahome's leg, which was knee down on ground, and it looked like he walked backward than pounced on Mahome's outstretched leg butt first onto his ankle and shin. And you could see Mahomes sort of arch his back and grimace in pain. I remember thinking the strategy was to win the game by taking Mahomes out. I could never prove that though so I don't know if I'm right. But it looked deliberate to me.

Phew for the Commanders and commanding win. But after getting smushed by Green Bay last week, I’m waiting to see them beat a playoff-type team before getting excited.

Sigh.. the Patriots..oh well the good times couldn't last forever.. but gosh all those turnovers were awful.

Being from Chicago, I'm no fan of GB, but more surprised by Cleveland overcoming their own record to defeat The Packers! Yesterday was all about turnovers; interceptions, fumbles, & most of all "blocked FG" attempts being run back for TD's! IIRC, there were 5 blocked w/ 2 going for TD's! I'm glad the Chiefs seem to be back on course, but still needing player out w/ a suspension! :wall: :scream:😱

I have to admit it felt pretty good to see my Vikings put the hurt on Cincinnati, and while I do feel bad for the Joe Burrow fans out there, our team has been bitten pretty hard by the injury bug this year as well. We still have some of our biggest weapons out (although one of them is due to suspension, and Addison will be back next week). They had a great game, and I felt really happy for Carson Wentz. He's had a tough go of it the last few years. Good to see him finally get a chance to show what he can do. Not to mention, Isaiah Rodgers. If he doesn't get NFC defensive player of the week I'm going to be massively disappointed. He earned it.

And now my Chiefs get po’d Ravens instead of happy Ravens 😬. Detroit tandem of running backs with their stout O-line was impressive. The Chiefs have them on the schedule too.

I didn't think about that! :D The game will still end up being Game Of The Week as always! If Baltimore isn't hungry enuf after being eliminated by KC in the past, they'll never get FULL! At least Buffalo puts up enuf effort to win their regular season match-up w/ The Chiefs! Josh will need full entensive psychological care after he retires if Mahomes & KC defeat him & his team in another crazy way! Can you imagine; :13 too much time left in a playoff game? Mahomes has true rivals in Allen, Burrows, & now Hurts! Jackson wins MVP's, gets touted as being so great; a hybrid QB, but I'm still waiting for him to win a game of consequence when it truly counts! This isn't it, but would help his cause after so many embarrassing instances the last few yrs.! This MNF loss to The Lions is a huge setback IMO! :wall:

What a disaster. :(

When is the defense going to start staying awake for the entire game? :wall:
I'm so excited for this game, I'm glad @suep1963 and @purple skates and mine wine weekend is later in October, that was the other game that was considered

Yeah I think it might be the season the Super Bowl berth is out for KC
