In an interview Rettstatt mentioned that they are thinking about a movie/musical RD, where teams could then do a Waltz. It sounded like he doesn't want the RD to be this very narrow segment that is focussed on a certain rhythm/pattern, but more of a broad theme.

yeah but his ideas are bad and he should feel bad
I love a movie/musical program, probably more than most around here, but @Rukia's right. This is a terrible idea if only because we'd likely be subjected to far too many Hamilton RDs featuring "Burn" and then a bunch more The Lion King RDs featuring "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" Don't get me wrong, those are both fine songs but I can't many teams apart from PiriHara digging deep into the genre and giving us anything truly great.

Though maybe I'd get my PateBye "Music Man" program dream fulfilled. I DMed her on IG after they announced TLK as their FD and told her I was happy they went with a musical, but was hoping for TMM & she politely replied they'd keep that in mind for the future, so maybe, if there's a movie/musical RD theme, that little seed has been properly planted.

Yes. They are repetitive and dull. Please remove this person. Isn't there a platform we could use to request a new chair? I mean, enough is enough, right? It's like they don't believe in their being a technical component that forces the dances to be creative. It's just utterly awful.

We need to campaign for an FSUer to become the next IDTC Chair. Our platform can be voids, snarks and waltzes.;)
