I don't think Russians are barred from entering most countries, for instance, I think most Russian tennis players have been playing throughout the West since the war began, save the UK. I expect all the Russians to be at the U.S. Open at the end of August.

Russian passport holders currently need visas to enter the country. I very much doubt that Trusova had any difficulty in obtaining one.

Indeed. Also some of the Russian judges were in Germany for ISU Global Seminar last week too to undertake the examinations for technical specialists and controllers (new international and promotion to ISU level).
3 out of 4 Russian candidates (including Elena Fomina aiming to be promoted to ISU TC for Single and Olga Kozhemyakina aiming to become an international TC for Pair) didn't pass the exam, leading to the usual outcries by the likes of Tarasova and co (the moderators were from Western countries, how can someone from Australia evaluate our judges, how can judges from small feds who judges 2-3 competitions a year with crap skaters be considered more prepared than our brilliant judges, blah, blah).

It appears that does not read FSU and is unfamiliar with the views and writing of the Australian judges who post here.

How do they test? Is it not a standardized written test?

It is a written test, a element ID test and a practical test. You have to pass all parts to be given your new titel.

Yes. In the written test they had to answer correctly to 78% of questions for candidates to International TS/TC level and to 84% of questions for ISU level.
In the element identification, they had to answer correctly to 90% for international and 92% for ISU level.

Apollinaria Panfilova told RIA Novosti that she was in rehabilitation in an Israeli clinic after a broken foot.
Earlier, Panfilova, who is paired with Dmitry Rylov, published a photo from the hospital on her social network.
“I ended up in a clinic in Israel due to a foot injury. The entire foot was affected, as the blow was atypical. There was a fracture of the talus. Now it does not hurt. I will not list all aspects, I can only say that it has been hurting for quite a long time. I can’t skate yet. In Israel, recovery went much better. Rehabilitation will last 16 days. I plan to start training in early August," Panfilova said.
The Panfilova/Rylov pair missed the entire last season due to a partner's back injury. According to the skater, Rylov's health is now "everything is fine." The injury doesn't bother him.

Why wouldn't she? Trusova is not a war criminal. She is not a sanctioned individual. Russians can still travel and participate in events.

I have waited, not so patiently, for Panfilova/Rylov's senior career. If between injury and Putin's idiocy I'm denied watching them skate for World and Olympic gold, I will probably stop watching skating. Pairs are my favorite discipline and Russian pairs have been my reason for watching figure skating for many years.

If I had to advocate to the other direction I would say Mishin can come and earn his money, but his visual aids can be Kostner or Gatchinski.

If I had to advocate to the other direction I would say Mishin can come and earn his money, but his visual aids can be Kostner or Gatchinski.

He's russian, he shouldn't come unless the "situation" is finished in Ukraine.
