I can't tell who that is. The hair is a bit light to be Mark, I think? Please tell me that's not poor Semenenko again 😱
I'm almost certain it's Mark - the technique and rotational position (and truly awful euler) are all the same as the "successfully" landed one as well as placement on the rink, although the camera angle is from the other side here.

The Russian skating websites are now reporting on The Skating Lesson's tweet that Diana & Gleb are no longer training with Igor Shpilband and that her mom Eteri Tutberidze has been seen at the Detroit Skating Club, where they previously worked with former USSR ice dancer Natalia Annenko.

No further word on whether they will continue to skate for Russia or switch to the United States or another country.

Samodelkina is not missing. She has been placed on the junior team. I think they run out of spots on main senior team and on reserve and one could argue that the others had stronger reason to be included. The same with Sinitsina - she is also on junior team.

Dave Lease posted an interesting interview of himself with Sports RU. I was very dismayed to read about his experience with Galina Zmieskaya as a coach. I personally have not had great experiences with Russian coaches when I took skating lessons with them. Many of them are just plain unenthusiastic about working with an adult skater. For the amount of money they charge, they could at least feign enthusiam for someone achieving crossovers. I thought he had shown great improvement in his skating ability in his nationals skates.

Why did you leave Zmievskaya?

- Well, Galina is a pretty tough coach. She says to herself that she is an old school coach and adheres to the old principles of work. And at the end of winter I had a difficult period, a lot of work during the Olympics, in general, I was very stressed. And here the coach keeps repeating that “you are not a man”, “you want the coach to lie to you, or what?”, “Turn off your head” - and I realized that this hits my self-esteem a lot. I need support.

Yes, I want the coach to tell it like it is, but you can do it in different ways. And such aggressiveness did not help me. I realized that this does not work for me, before the competition (and I participate in competitions for adult amateurs) I do not believe in myself.

I tried to talk to her, ask her to communicate in a different tone. But Zmievskaya said that it was impossible. Yes, I learned a lot from her, she is a brilliant specialist, but it is difficult to motivate me with insults and shouting - I just start to get more nervous.

And you know, I've made a lot of progress since then. Yes, Galina is a cool coach in terms of technique, but I got something more by leaving her - I became more confident on the ice. And it is visible. Maybe such authoritarian methods are suitable for some, but it’s not in vain that they say that the older you are, the less you like it when they yell at you - the weaker this method works.

So Evgenia Tarasova and Fedor Klimov got married? They might be the most random couple we've heard of in a long time...
They look really happy! Maybe they kept it quiet so as to prevent any distractions and unnecessary chatter....Like what a lovely show/competitive couple you would make with Fedor, plus the chatterings from Trankov, Tarasova, Zhulin, Leonova, Besti, Rodnina....blah, blah, blah...who am I missing? LOL.

Russian figure skating news today:
  • Alina Zagitova to participate a boxing show match
  • Zhulin commenting on Zagitova boxing
  • some others commenting
  • some ideas who she should be boxing against
  • the name of the boxer (Olympic champion whatever) who will be fighting against Zagitova is named
  • the coach of the said athlete says he is injured and can't participate any boxing events, even less so a show.
Waiting for Zhulin to comment on that....

Guess the news are matching the level of journalism....
upd:
* Rodnina doesn't plan watching Zagitova's boxing match

I can almost guess the nature of Zhulin’s comments. 😉

Of course, Tarasova has weighed in - no pun intended! Tarasova is not impressed, as per this article:

🤔

Any word on whether Diana Davis will have a sitdown interview with Christine Brennan?
Lmao - I'm sure she's stalking the rink in Leesburg where they've been training the last 10 days just waiting for Gleb to offer to translate!

If Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin are now married does that make visas/citizenship faster for him?
Yes.

Apparently it could still take quite a while, but it would give them a shot at competing for the U.S. at the next Olympics.

(They would still have to get released or get an exemption from a release from Russia. Khaliavin got a release with about the same credentials, but there are several reasons this isn't the same scenario so I still think we need confirmation on that).
