Yes they mentioned speed, but in reference to the lack of point spread.

And I think they also referenced execution.

Speed is important in skating as is execution, but not the only considerations in judging

That’s why I mentioned checking the protocols to see what the marks were specifically for the elements and the GOE’s

The levels difference are quite small now.

That’s going to affect point spread in the marks

I'm still on the fence regarding that lift! Looks totally out of place for me ... it's just that, an acrobatic lift. It is so unlike them to have an element that doesn't add to the piece. I'm a bit baffled by it!

It looks way way better than the SinKats flip over my shoulder, show you my crotch arabesque nonsense. I think it fits quite well it just isn't second nature yet. If they have a better one more power to them. I just want them to move more crisply and smoothly. Right now it looks like they're still thinking about it. When they stop doing that. Wow, wow.

The fact that Guillaume felt he had to address this nonsense directly makes me sad. Of all things he has to deal with leading up to the Olympics, this is just so galling. It’s exhausting. We think progress keeps on being made in terms of acceptance, but no, there are those who just refuse to move forward and end up with a platform to spew garbage.

It's just the usual Russian tactics. They use it on their own athletes as well depending on their political motivations. It's usually a sign of fear and used strategically to frustrate if persons are known to be emotional. P/C should be flattered that they had so much time to waste on them. Now, come on! Gabriella posted some Instagram stories with a clearer view of her new costume and you can see it has a similar Art Deco feel to the original, with some cutout bits at the shoulder, and a subtle sweep of pale gold following the line of the dress across her torso and down over the hip. I was initially dubious but the details have sold me. I like it. ?
