Former President Bill Clinton hospitalized for infection but 'on the mend'

Former President Bill Clinton was admitted to the University of California Irvine Medical Center's intensive care unit for a urinary tract infection that spread to his bloodstream, his doctors told CNN on Thursday.

This breaking news just came on Rachel Maddow's show and was repeated in the next two shows on msnbc.

He has a blood infection and is being treated in a hospital in Irvine, CA. It is not related to C19. His white blood count is trending down, but he is getting the treatment He needs. I hope this is not serious.

He is 75 years old and has had heart issues in the past. I hope he recovers.

It is a urinary tract infection that spread to his blood but is going to be ok.

I thought they were still trying to find the origin of the infection but may be I did not have full attention.

I had read an update last night on CNN. Strangely I have heard of this happening before. Glad he’s ok though.
