Say,I was watching the Ladies Short Program today,and I thought I heard them say that Ashley Wagner was one of the Commentators.Can anyone confurm this?

NBCSN for europeans. It was played at around 4:30 today.

I feel like she commentated for something else this season too except I can't remember what exactly. Maybe one of the grand prix's or the gpf?

Not filling in for Lipinski--Tara, Johnny and Terry are in Detroit for US Nationals. Ashley is commenting with Scott Horowitz, who sounds an awful lot like Gannon. Anyone know what Horowitz's background/credentials are?

I'm finding Ashley's commentary to be insightful and accurate but most importantly, non-obtrusive!

I prefer Tanith, Ben and Charlie but Ashley is still better than Tara and Johnny

She did some Grand Prix events this fall. She is MUCH improved. She sounds more confident, is less obtrusive and has worked on her voice. I think she’s got real potential.

... I'm watching a recording of Euros now, and Ashley Wagner is commenting. She is REALLY GOOD. She doesn't talk over the program, mostly facts, and a really pleasant voice. It's professional. During Samohin, neither she nor the other guy spoke for a full 30 seconds. I (almost) got to see an entire fw sequence commentary free. And it wasn't Wagner who spoke first--the guy with her asked a question. Which she answered. She seemed almost surprised that he wanted her to speak, and I didn't get the impression that it was because her attention wandered but because like a fan she was into the skating.

I hope they upgrade Wagner soon. I think Terry would find Wagner calming. She doesn't really talk much besides identifying jumps and saying why it did/did not work unless asked a direct question.

Sinead has a nice voice and accent. I like the way she said "pattern dance."

I watched the ladies free at Europeans on NBCSN this afternoon. I really enjoyed Ashley’s comments. She has a pleasant voice and demeanor.

I completely agree! She was very empathetic and encouraging to all skaters! She was also very respectful and unassuming (i.e. she needs this or she won't win the title)! She's excellent! She's a very good ambassador for the sport!
