Nonsense. I just went to Tass.ru's homepage and you can find stories about him right there.

So as long as he says he didn't do it, people will just accept his word? :rolleyes: (Sounds like someone else I know.) Or they simply don't care? I don't know if ignorance or apathy is worse. And a selfie is bad enough, but throwing him a birthday party??? Yuck...

This article was published two days ago..Plushenko was in Kazakhstan for a week, the last show was the day before yesterday he arrived and he flied to Grozny immediately with that company. Plus he is not a great news reader.
The birthday party of the city was in 2016. No one talked about the gays in that time. In last year Plushenko posted many pics from Chechnya no one cared about it.
Ronaldinho, ex Miss Russia, who is the Ambassador of the FIFA World Cup 2018, and some Russian pop superstars were in Chechnya yesterday. They were invited.

I really would like to if a journalist ask Plushenko about Kadyrov, his measures and this whole situation. This is not him.

I try not to judge a book by it's cover...He may know this monster from the past & maybe being a good person has not rejected him as he may be able to get info from him. There are several groups in different countries trying to give asylum to gays but they have to get them out of Chechnya first. The underground has a huge dangerous job to do.In this I would trust in your years of knowing what kind of a person you think Plushi is and back off a bit. With his contacts and so much traveling he could do a lot of good.

Look... Plushenko does have gay friends, right and left friends, at public gatherings he usually sees himself as an athlete with many fans, and treats people as "fans"... he hugs every body who want to hug him..

But! There are extreme cases, like Kadyrov. He is a murdered, and a Sharia-Law advocate, very violent and does not hide it....... EVERYBODY who "hugs Kadyrov" gets bad publicity outside of Russia..... :D. Here is an example from the SAME party which Plushenko attended.... Plushenko was not singled out...

I understand why Russia needs Kadyrov.

I know Plushenko as a person who follows his every steps on every way since 2010. This is not him. He is a peaceful person there is no any agressivity in him. I don't think he knows and believes everything and he goes there.

BTW Im not happier because worldstars were Kadyrov's guests. Sigh...

Just in brief... Russia does NOT need Kadyrov.... :D.... Putin thinks "Russian needs Kadyrov", or more likely "i need Kadyrov just in case there are troubles and he can always do the dirty work and be the fall guy".

Well as long as Pluschenko takes a note of what is advised to him. Hilary Swank befriended Kadyrov few years ago, came to his event, etc. She also did not know who he is. She got a lot of slack for it and was sent the truth about him..... and obviously changed her mind ....

I don't understand how you "befriend" someone as famous as Kadyrov without doing the tiniest bit of homework on him. Admittedly, there was never much mainstream media coverage of him in America before the recent events, but wouldn't you even want to check out his Wiki page or something before accepting some head of state's birthday invitation in Chechnya? Or is it all just about a paycheck? And I don't buy for a minute that Plushenko would have been totally oblivious to his reputation...come on.

What next? Birthday parties for Duterte, Kim Jong-Un, Assad, etc.? Why not? Ethics mean nothing any more, apparently...

Thank you both for your help, glad to hear I very much enjoyed their SP last season, would love to see something cool like Mad Max again even if the music was a bit too big for them. I thought they were really promising at JGPF.

I don't think any Russian can accept the concentration camp, etc, they don't believe that is exist.
 
It's very easy to buy fake followers on social media...just ask Yana Rudkovskaya :rolleyes: They even have vending machines where you can buy them in Russia.

I don't think it's wise to make assumptions that 100% of all Russians believe one thing or another, either...

It's hard to convince many people that Kadyrov is a criminal. The info today from the "West and Media" is taken by Russians, and others too, with a grain of salt, given how much "fake news" and "self-serving" news came from Western press for its own political purposes.

As a result, when it is the truth, it is often not accepted. A boy who cried "wolf" too often..:wall:

Yes, as far as i know, he is. But Kadyrov would not know that, nor would "research" those who he invites.
If Sandhu is not kissing a guy, or advertising to be 'gay'.... there is no way of knowing.
 
Tbth, one of the most disconcerting, disappointing things about this photo would be the overalls and the tracksuit getup that Plushy and Mr. Nefarious Character chose to wear that day. Simply gauche… :drama: :eek:

I actually want to click on this thread when I am either drunk AF or hungover and then learn about new programs and choreographers instead of reading stories about Russian politics. I am getting more than enough of that from my father. So please...would you just **** off to other places with this kind of stories?!
