The greed and corruption in football don't surprise me anymore. It's just sad.
The good news is that (according to FIFA) there is no more racism in the sport anymore!

It is well known that China has poured a fortune into football, so it must be more than a little embarrassing to be beaten 1-0 by war torn Syria today. But I still hope they qualify.

Dos a cero is dead. Final from Columbus, OH: USA 1 v 2 Mexico. USA next plays away at Costa Rica. The USA has never won a game in Costa Rica.
Hopefully, the US away record against Costa Rica will die too. I think the team looked really good for much of the match, but a couple bad misses on defense doomed them. Also, the Mexican team was probably one of the strongest they have ever fielded. I don't recall seeing Dos Santos, Vela, and Chicharito all playing at the same time since they were U17.
Nope. Epic fail. CRC 4 v 0 USA.
USA now has 8 games, including a game in Mexico where we have won once, to get one of the top 3 spots in the hex, I now very much doubt they can make it to 1st, and advance to WC 2018. It can be done, but it will not be easy.
You shouldn't. First home WCQ loss in US since 2001. Worst butt kicking in CR since forever. First time the US starts the Hex 0-2. His time has simply run out....Well the U.S. is now looking for a new head coach and Klinsmann is looking for a new job. Guess I shouldn't be surprised.
Arena is not long term. He has one task and only one task: get the USAMNT to Russia in 2018. All else is secondary. If he does that he'll probably coach the team at the WC and be dismissed after. If not, he's gone as soon as he fails. Who knows who will replace Arena whenever he leaves. There were some things I really liked about Klinsmann, but I agree it was time for him to go. Just too many bad losses since Brazil, and the team just unable to get into any kind of positive rhythm, and also the team just doesn't seem motivated to play for him anymore.
I guess it's now expected that Bruce Arena will take over as interim coach. What does everyone think about that??

A charter plane carrying 81 people, including players from a rising Brazilian soccer team headed for a championship match, slammed into a mountainside late Monday
The aircraft was carrying members of the Chapecoense Real soccer team, based in southern Brazil, for the finals of the Copa Sudamericana against Atletico Nacional of Medellín.
Congrats to Toronto FC!!! We are now heading to the finals!
My cousins son is with the Seattle team.. not a player a staff/trainer hoping to score some tickets.. let me know if you see any going I would like to go as well
To be expected, especially in a city that wants this game. This could be one of the best MLS championship games ever.Tickets will go on sale soon for the final but will be $450. and up!
