I Have Got to Stay Out of Sephora (and other glamourpuss issues)

Well I can tell you that my face has never been smoother. I tend to use it for abou 90seconds - after all I have a big head hence - a big face. :D

I know several women who own both. They all say the same thing - that Clarsonic gives better feeling of cleansed skin, but they all say Luna cleanses the face equally well. There is Luna version for anti age and 2 of my over 40s friends say they are in love with it and see their skin looking better while using it. One of those had plastic surgery to remove scars from a car accident and her plastic surgeon asked a lot about her skin regime bc he was impressed with the texture and condition.

I am so ticked off!

Bought a Wet & Wild Bronzer last night in 'Reserve your Cabana.' It's supposed to be a dupe for one of the Hourglass Ambient Powders. I tried it when I got home and LOVED it.

Of course this morning, I dropped it on the floor and it shattered into a BAZILLION pieces. UGH.

It was the only one there too at my Walmart.

It was only $4.97 but still............UGH!!!!!! :wall: :wuzrobbed

There's a way you can fix it by spraying it with alcohol and pressing it back in.

But by the time I bought the spray bottle and alcohol, it would be cheaper just to buy another bronzer.

@skategal, that totally sucks. I've be more pissed off at having to clean up the bronzer than actually buying a new one. When you find it again, but 2 or 3 of them.

I am VIB Rouge too, where's mine?!!

I assume as VIB I get it later than VIB Rouges?

anyway. What is your favorite product for keeping lips soft and moisturized in winter (or any time)?

I never wear lipstick or gloss, just Blistex. Can't live without it. Right after 9/11 when there was a period when zero liquids or gels were allowed on planes, I actually hid my Blistex in my bra. It's slightly medicinal, but over the years I've tried everything and nothing works as well as Blistex for me.

ditto. the one in the blue tub is the best. mmmm, menthol.

I was having serious issues with dry, peeling lips about a month ago, and I had read on some beauty blogs that EOS lip balm might be why. Turns out, it was making my lips drier. I was shocked!!! There must be something in them that bothers my skin.

I stopped using the balm completely and my lips are back to normal. Really odd.

I almost don't want to recommend this because it is so pricey.

But the best thing I've ever used on my lips is Lip Slip by Sara Happ.

I was lucky enough to get it at half price last year in the post-christmas sale at my hairdresser's.

I was actually looking at the Sugar Fresh lip gifts and the Bite Beauty Agave mask today at Sephora.com. Any experiences with those?

For lip balm I usually use Burts Bees or Nivea, but I was hoping for something more intense. Maybe I should just use coconut oil though.

You guys are making me want a Clarisonic now. Amazon has it on sale for $149, down from $150! Does it help with clogged pores? I get little bumps on my temples and forehead sometimes - not blackheads, so I can't extract them. And one or two pimples occasionally on the side of my neck below my ears.

The smoothest my skin has ever felt was after I got a bad sunburn and my whole face peeled. Gross, but oooooh so smooth.

Fresh's sugar lip balms are OK, fairly light in terms of balminess. I like Blistex's simple and sensitive. Only $1 apiece so I stash them all over. If my lips get bad, I go right for the olive oil.

I don't think the Clarisonic will help with that. It does make my skin super smooth, but I haven't noticed that it decreased the breakouts that I get during that time of the month.

I love the Fresh Sugar balms, but they're too pricey for my taste. Santa usually brings a couple in my stocking.

I am not surprised. EOS balms have very low quality ingredients.

Try this if you can get Avene. It is great for what they say, but also AMAZING for chapped, dry and irritated lips. I apply it every night.

Not a fan of EOS either. I find them awkward to apply, and I end up with it way beyond my lips. :p

I became a fan of the Nivea Lip Butter in the little round tin last year. I was in the drug store looking for something for my chapped lips and the raspberry one was in the sale bin for $2, so I tried it. For me, it made a huge difference in just one application. So I went back and bought more of them and I have them stashed all over the place.
