Here is one man's idea of what is wrong with FIFA and what needs to happen to fix it.

So, another win for USA last night vs. Haiti, but definitely a rather lackluster performance.

One thing I noticed is Klinsmann once again reshuffled the starting lineup from the previous game vs. Honduras. It was almost like a different team out there, especially in the back.

I'm quite new to international football, and I'm wondering: Is it normal and common to reshuffle starting lineups as much as Klinsmann does?
 
I have no idea but I believe it is not unusual for Klinsmann to do this.

P.S.
I guess if a coach is going to mess with his starting line up, now is the time to do it before WC qualifying starts in earnest.

I think you posted on the wrong thread... But you are right. Now is the time to make those type of mistakes. (RE: Pan Am games) :shuffle:

No, it's not normal, many coaches prefer to play how they always play. The problem is, then they end up with the situation Brazil ended up with at the World Cup - their star player (Neymar) gets injured and the whole team is at a loss as to how to play.

Klinsmann, on the other hand, prefers to not have a star in his team and be able to switch players around. He also likes to try out who works best with who to create the best team he can. When Germany played the World Cup in 2006, Klinsmann used rather inexperienced and unknown players but they were young and they played as a team which is how they got as far as they did. I also remember that, when he was coaching Germany, he didn't want the players to think that their position in the starting line-up was guaranteed to keep them motivated and on their toes. If someone didn't look like they were in top shape (during training), he had no problem putting someone else in the starting line-up. Many coaches are afraid to do that because they're afraid to bench the "stars". Klinsmann wasn't and, from the looks of it, still isn't.
 
Jeffery Webb is now in the hands of U.S. authorities, and hopefully singing like a canary.
 
RE: Gold Cup

T&T v Panama is tied at 1-1 and now goes to penalty kicks. T&T has already done much better than expected while Canada did exactly what they were expected to do; they crashed and burned. LOL
