I'm sure he will be part of the parade of athletes leading up to the lighting of the flame. I would love it if he did. I'm trying to think if there are other Gold medalists that were actually born and raised in Salt Lake City. Can't come up with any off hand. Most of the athletes that call Utah home, moved there from somewhere else.

ETA - Ted Ligety was also born and raised in Utah.

Merry Xmas to everyone! Just got back from Vail after seeing the first show. It was strange as Nathan seemed a little flat compared to how he was when I saw him in Nashville and Sun Valley. Maybe a combination of just finishing finals along with the altitude? I heard Karen say that she had been struggling. Still had a great time and it was interesting to compare Vail with Sun Valley.
