Adam did way too many early competitions. That only works if you're a Korean lady. He almost Kurakova'd.

Oh well. The ?bright? side is for my delicate nerves, I really needed one of them to take themselves out of the running before the free skate. If they all skated cleanly, I'd be flying to Montreal to dip into Tonia's stash.

I’ve been trying not to weep over four great guys and only three medals and Adam unfortunately solved the problem.

I still think Lukas, Deniss and Nik were robbed and should be ahead of Jason. Oh ok, Egadze too, he’s got great jumps.

How long do we have to wait for GP assignments?

Okay, so, if the SP results hold...

Japan & USA get 3 spots next year while Switzerland, Italy, Georgia, Latvia, Korea and Canada get 2 spots. I need for these placements to change just enough to also get Estonia into the 2 spots category. Or maybe for Georgia to just swap with Estonia since Georgia has no need for a 2nd spot unless there's some other wannabe Georgian residing in Moscow who can convince the RFSF to give him a release.

My rant is still not over. This is a technical program. If you have a quad axel do it. Because you’re PCS won’t save you in the technical program.
Ilia has improved so much. He`s only 19 maybe and maybe should save the wear and tear. He may have to wait out a couple skaters the judges seem so taken with. Keep the 4A and his knees fresh for Oly`22.

Well, I think I experienced the full range of emotions possible in that final group.

I was ELATED over Yuma.
DISAPPOINTED for Kao.
Felt the PAIN (ouch for that fall on the tailbone) for Cha
HAPPY for Ilia.
DELIGHTED for Shoma.
DEVASTATED for Adam.

This sport is not for the faint of heart. One has to be able to ride the "highs," endure the "lows," cope with periods of not breathing, white knuckles and pounding hearts. And, MOST OF ALL, we need a thriving sense of humour to deal with the sometimes RIDICULOUS scoring of the judges.

But .... oh ... ISN'T IT FUN?

Off to get some dinner. See y'all for the pairs final in a bit. :)
