Ok,everyone. I asked this before. But lets get an update. Who is your favorite Ice-Dance Team....and what do you like about them? I picked the ones I did, because I consider them my favorites, and they all have graceful moves and are so attractive and gorgous on the ice!!! Anybody else?

Virtue and Moir are my pick. Yes, they are wonderful, talented dancers, but I have watched them grow up. I live 20 minutes away from London and they've always been on my radar. So I guess they are a sentimental choice for me.

V&M for me as well. I first saw them live at a competition in 2006 or 2007, and they skated to Valse Triste. I fell in love with them. Seeing them skate live in all three phases of the dance competition and win the gold at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics was one of the highlights of my life.

I would so love to see them win another Olympic Gold, but fear that P/C have the superior program this season. I think V/M are the superior skaters, but don't want to get my hopes up too high.

Ilinykh and Katsalapov were just so special, they were just so well matched they practically skated as one. They could pull these lovely galas out of thin air. The connection, speed, fluidity and she just has a very special quality that is unmatched by any ice dancer today.

I also really enjoyed Silverstein and Pekerek (I hope I spelt their names right), they created magic on ice. They could really dance. I miss that quality in today's ice dancers. Honourable mention goes to Rhakhomo and Kokko (again with the names) and Klimova and Ponamarenko, legends.

EDIT: Well it goes without saying that I also love the finer qualities of both P/C and V/M. But in my heart, I'll always have a soft spot for V/M.

Glad I’m not a judge. I think the dance competition will be the highlight of the olympics for me. Wonderful teams! I don’t care who wins, just want the opportunity to see them compete.

Papadakis and Cizeron. Very close 2nd would be Virtue and Moir. Technically, I feel they are equal. Would NOT want to be an Olympic ice dance judge for 2018. It all depends on the day.

Tessa and Scott. Not only are they brilliant skaters but also amazing people. I'm from Europe but from the moment I saw these ice dancers from Canada, I was hooked. Now that I have followed their career for so many years and learned more about their character and personality, I'm an even bigger fan.

When you put a ukrainian couple, a retired canadian couple and not include Papadakis/Cizeron on the list, then you know this poll was created from/for a canadian!

20 MIN.? Are you from Paris?

Papadakis and Cizeron. Especially their 2016 Worlds performance which was just breathtaking.

Second place is a tie between Hubbell/Donohue and Shibs.

P/C their sublime smoothness lightness edges glide just their whole movement. And always knowing where the other is when they do those solo movements then come back to each other.

Stepanova/Bukin :wuzrobbed

V/M love the way Tessa dances and uses the whole of her upper body.

But my favourites will always be you know who .Winners of TWO og medals:p

Well, he/she did put PERNELLE CARRON AND LLOYD JONES (???) who are also French...

You should meet and know more about skaters like Laurence Fournier Beaudry, Nick Sorensen, Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron, they are "beautiful humans" believe me. Very humble and sweet people.

Well, thanks for the advice but I stick with Tessa and Scott.

After Olys, in about 3 weeks from now, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir will stop competing hence you'll have plenty of time to know more about other skaters. You should come at least once to Montréal and meet Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron. In addition to being fantastic skaters, both are great people sharing a unique relationship.

Unfortunately if you are looking for a new PC fan, you have to look elsewhere. They are absolutely not my cup of tea. And it's not like I don't like other ice dancers, I really enjoy the Shibs, the Italians, Stepanove/Burkin, Soucisse/Firus and I will keep rooting for my German team Lorenz/Polizoakis. My favorites, however, are and will always be Virtue and Moir.

My favorite team is Grishuk and Platov. They were athletic, musical and could easily adapt to a wide variety of styles.

LOL! I'm not looking for anything. I'm probably too naïve to think ice dance lovers would be obviously PC fans simply because these young skaters contributed so much to ice dance in the past years and will bring even more in the coming years as Jane Torvill pointed out in a recent interview. On my side, I had the opportunity to talk to VM a few times and I really enjoyed it and I had a lot of fun talking to PC, FS, HD and SD in Montréal. After Olys, VM will disappear from all competitions, that's life. And we can rely on this young French couple to mesmerise us in the next 4 years. They have not yet reached their full potential so ...

My favorites are from many years ago. I love 1992 Kimova & Ponomarenko and the Duchesay's. We had those beautiful performances because Torvill and Dean paved the the way. :respec:
