Say, I posted this in the Solo Ice-Dance thread. But I'll post it here too. I was wondering...who founded Solo Ice-Dance? Do we know? Thanks.

From Wikipedia regarding the history of ice dance:

In the late 1800s, American Jackson Haines, known as "the Father of Figure Skating", brought his style of skating to Europe. He taught people in Vienna how to dance on the ice, both singly and with partners.

Four years ago I wrote the Focus on Solo Dance Series for Ice-dance.com. The first article talks about the early days in the US. https://www.ice-dance.com/site/focus-on-solo-dance-u-s-solo-dance-program/

This is the link to the entire Series: https://www.ice-dance.com/site/category/solo/solo-dance-series/
