Who are the 3 most underrated skaters in history?

1) Trixie Schuba only because her figures were as beautiful as her free skating was a snooze.

2) David Jenkins because his free skating was better than Uncle Dick's and everybody else up to Patrick Chan but nobody has ever heard of him.

3) Cecelia Colledge
- the inventor of the layback spin
- first to perform a camel spin in international competition, including the modern catchfoot positions,
- first female to do a 2S (when men could not do more than a 1A)
- first person to do a one footed 1A

One aspect I like more now than last century is ice dance judging. Yes, it is far from perfect but it is a far cry from those days when it moved like a glacier before climate change. With that caveat I would place Rahkamo and Kokko in this group. I would love to see how they would have fared when a team could actually jump from double digits to a number one rank. They were such a breath of fresh air no matter what their rank imo.

As for singles skaters when I was watching Europeans I often felt Vanessa Gusmeroli was more compelling than any of her competition though she did not top the podium. I don't have a good enough grasp of history to know if she rates as "all time" but I certainly appreciated her.

Not that I could defend these choices under Socratic (or any) questioning, but here are my three: Belita Jepson-Turner (much more watchable than Henie), Lisa Marie Allen (so elegant), Takahiko Kozuka (outplaced by Contesti, of all people, at 2009 Worlds, which I'm still not over).
