Bit of a longshot question, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask since FSU is often a fountain of knowledge. 
My university grad school department has funds available to do short-term research overseas in commonwealth nations, and my supervisor suggested I look into opportunities in the UK. My field is human genetics and my skill set is more on the computational side; ex. analyzing gene expression data. I’m aware of the Sanger Institute/Wellcome Trust, but I’m wondering if anyone more familiar with UK medical research could recommend any additional institutions that are well regarded (and probably more realistic to score a position in). Thanks!
