Awww, it won’t be the same without Tom! I still remember all the fuss about him trying to get to the Olympics when he was about 13. He’s done so well, and I’m thinking he’ll get his knighthood this time

He was doing some work for Eurosport so hopefully we’ll see him in future Olympics even if he’s not competing.

He's had an amazing career and I have been impressed at his ability to deliver again and again against younger competitors. He's a great eurosport consultant so we will continue to see him.

For the last few weeks there's been an ad with Tom Daley shaving his pits opposite the door where I get off the tube for work. But yesterday it had been replaced. Truly the Olympics are now over.

Wishing Tom a very happy retirement. He's done remarkably well, both in sport and in life, for an athlete who's grown up in the public eye.

I've been following diving pretty seriously the last several years. Daley's longevity in such a physically demanding sports is truly remarkable. Five olympic games, medalling in four of them. One of his best performances was at the 2017 world championships, a year after not making the individual final at the Olympics. Six near perfect dives to take the title.
