Road to FIFA Men’s World Cup 2026

ITA, I am white and will not travel to the US until the current regime is ousted. I cannot imagine how a person of color would be treated...........although in reality, it is unlikely ICE would go after sports participants. They will likely be protected.
Honest to God I think FIFA made a huge mistake as long as we have these ass***** who feel empowered to do this:

Wow, nice way to welcome participants who are invited to your country. Unreal but real in the current USA under DJT and his cronies/toadies/etc

This makes me incredibly sad and emensely angry.
My city thinks World Cup visitors might take a side trip to us. I'm not sure what they are 🚬 why would visitors come to the US, let alone a red state?

I am moving back to Vancouver around that time, so I am looking forward to the free festivals and crowds. I am sure it will be fun. But I'm hardly counting the days like in 2010. I don't understand the decision to spread it out among three countries, and then across multiple cities across each country. Like, I remember the ordeal the travel between Vancouver and Whistler.

Are there any core FIFA people who regularly travel to World Cups on FSU? Maybe this is actually common practice?

I’m curious too. With all the hotel reservations being cancelled, I can’t help but think the whole event will be a big loss for Toronto and Vancouver.

One of the Netherlands games have prices less than $500 for the lower bowl. Which given other games currently have seats in the same area at over $2500.

My grandson wants to see a FIFA game, they live 3.5 hour away from KC. I'm watching prices.

They may just continue to drop.

Would love to attend a game myself but not sure I can spare the money. But the fan zones sound like something I will definitely check out.

100%. Ticket prices are ridiculous. I split time between Houston and Brooklyn and really look forward to visiting fan zones in both.

I know I would never consider going to a game for a wide variety of reasons but mainly overall cost. I do not think seeing a game is worth even one quarter (or less) of what it would cost to attend in person.

My husband is Mexican so futbol is his thing. We didn’t go in 1994, so we decided that this will be one of our vacations this year. We wanted to go to some games in Mexico, but getting tickets there was impossible so we opted for 3 games in Philly, a 2 - 2.5 hour drive for us. We got an airport kitchenette hotel with parking at a reasonable price for the 2 games with a 7 pm start, and for the 5 pm start game, we just got parking and will drive up and back. Figured that the reduced cost of travel/only 2 hotel nights/pack some of our own food would somewhat offset the ticket prices. I’m loving my fully electric car these days too. But we could have taken a nice trip for the total cost.

Seeing Ecuador/Cote D’Ivoire, Brazil/Haiti, France/Iraq. Lower level seats for Brazil and France were ridiculous so we got upper level for those. Ecuador/C D’I was more reasonable for lower level so we splurged on that one.

My grandson wants to go to a game. Every time I get an email about "newly released tickets", I check on prices and forward to DIL. The latest one (for one game) was ~$300. She said too rich for her blood.
