These jumps aren't under review: The Bradie Tennell Cheer Thread!

I believe Bradie has a media call scheduled for late this afternoon and so we'll likely find out more about her status for Nationals.
Just tweeted: https://twitter.com/LynnRutherford/status/1475588729876226057

On teleconference Bradie Tennell said, "Training has been up and down but things are looking up." She is looking forward to competing in Nashville

"I don't like to give up on things," Tennell said. Added she definitely plans to continue her competitive career next season.

ETA that she also said she intends to compete both next season and beyond. “No end in sight,” she said, with a laugh. https://twitter.com/olyphil/status/1475591525270708229

@marysy posted a link to Bradie's recent radio interview earlier in this thread and the link, along with a clip, was tweeted by the interviewer on 12/22/21: https://twitter.com/WGNRadio/status/1473741138096009228

^^^ Entry list is dated Oct. 14 - I hope Bradie will be able to make her season debut in her current training rink in Nice.

ETA that Bradie is training in Breda, Netherlands right now, according to her latest IG story.

Phil Hersh's article based on his "lengthy phone and text interview" with Bradie (Sept. 2, 2022):

This is Bradie´s first international medal in over 2 seasons, iam so proud of her.
The most important step is the first one.
Includes practice clips of a 3F & 3Lz+3T.

Bradie's latest Instagram story (Richaud's too) show that they are at the Skating Club of Boston now.
.

Major props to Bradie for just being out of first place at the US national short program by .02 points

her first two competitions in the Grand Prix were not great, but I expected them to be not great. First time on that type of ice in two years. But a couple months later here at the national she looks in her prior form. I think she skates with even more speed than ever before and her presentation has definitely improved. I can actually see her becoming national champion again and that is amazing

But for losing major levels on spins, usually a strong point, she would have been in first by several points. I hope she can follow up with a great FS.

After tso year absence and not so great skates at the Grand Prix she comes back to win the national silver medal. Congratulations

I guess I haven't been paying enough attn., but where are our US phenoms? Alysa Liu our last chance w/ that Triple Axel! To compete internationally, the envelope needed to be pushed & right now the only thing saving us is the ban of Russian skaters! :scream:

mind you this is a cheer thread

what do you mean last chance with the triple axle, one was just done literally one hour ago, Amber Glenn

This post of yours is better suited in a different thread

as you said if you’re not paying enough attention, better just not post stuff like this

So happy to see Bradie finding her groove! Comebacks are never easy but Bradie is in her way

Why are you watching?

Skate Info Glace has published a transcript of Bradie's comments - Q&A with media after she had finished competing at Worlds in Saitama:

Bradie's been back in the USA and attended a Taylor Swift concert recently when she was working on her new program(s) with Benoit Richaud in New Jersey.

Hi!

I hope there's a chance Bradie keeps her last season's short program. I think it was one of the best-choreographed and best-performed programs last season, and I would like to see it develop with Bradie back to full health.

As inspirational and passionate as her long program was, I would like to see a new program. I do not like voiceovers, but I trust Bradie and Benoit.

I hope she keeps the SP too, especially since she used it only in the 2nd half of the season.

Bumping this thread up with very :( news posted by Bradie today (Nov. 14, 2023) on her Instagram:
Bradie is out for the season. Broke her ankle on a bracket.
Copying out Bradie's post for those who can't view:

Brackets - 1, Bradie - 0

Two weeks ago I had a little mishap while warming up my step sequence during training. I caught an edge on a bracket and managed to break my ankle in a funky fall. Despite the bad luck, timing, and falls, I’m in good spirits with an awesome support system helping me through this. Although I’ll miss this season, I’m on the mend and determined to come back stronger. Thanks for the support and hugs to everyone reaching out to check on me - I appreciate you all! ❤️
