Attention all Tonya Harding fanatics, historians, and critics--this is the most exciting news since "People Are Still Having Sex" was originally released as a maxi single with 12 remixes that all sound the same.

An intrepid FSU member discovered a post by someone going by the name Joe Haran who was excoriating Morry Stillwell for his anti-Tonya sentiment in a Google Group from 1999.

A quick search reveals two installments of his Cogitarium (presumably from roughly the same time period) archived on a website that also includes "Consultancy and Tutoring Services," a quote of the day, and a link to a free Kindle book which is described on Amazon as "[a] brief comparison and contrast of the theologies and approaches of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Reinhold Niebuhr, in their struggles for social justice."

Anyone with information concerning Mr. Haran and/or the Cogitarium, please let us know! In the meantime, enjoy these two classical texts:

Cogitarium Two

To be fair to that crazy poster with bad arguments and logic, Morry Stillwell's recollection of all things Tonya leaves a lot to be desired. I remember he kept saying he SAW Tonya unhook her dress at one competition going into a jump and when people here provided links to the YouTube video that contained the performance he was talking about showing she did NOT unhook her dress, he still kept saying she did.

Here's what I found when I googled that guy's name:

The juxtaposition here is amazing. Also, how do I subscribe? :shuffle:

Reviews for "The Portlandian"

  • "The Portlandian is surely the best publication about Tonya M. Harding since The Skater" - Joseph A. Haran, founder and editor of "The Skater", the former official Tonya Harding Fan Club magazine.
  • Read what the skating establishment on rec.sport.skating.ice.figure says about "The Portlandian":
    • "bullshit"
    • "baloney from the Tonya apologists"
    • "crapola"
    • "another heap of hooey"
    • "tripe"
