LOL, not sure if this has been posted yet but last season I got a good kick out of these weekly commentaries...

I disagree with him..Im not a fan for costume-y pieces or too much a period piece.

I also didn't realize how similar both of Nathan's pieces were.

What do you guys think of his comments and critiques? Im more of a tank top and jeans type a guy so I don't always know what everyone else thinks.

I did Love so far The Shibs and Gilles & Poirier SD. (sleeve reveal and all).

I agree with him that Mae's gold and black top is great. Can't decide if I'd like it better with a skirt like he said or not. Maybe still as a catsuit, but with some gold detailing on the pants as well. That's one of the things I loved about Tessa's Prince catsuit - the top was the standout, but it had really cool detailing on the pats as well.

I think Lena's SP dress is cool, but I'd like it better in a different colour palette or something. I don't really like the beige parts.

I like the description of Andrei Lazukin's costume: " slightly deranged aristocrat vibe ". Didn't love any of the men's costumes, but without looking back at the whole event, Dima's was probably my favourite. I think it suits the program anyways.

And yeah, Nathan's are boring, but I read they aren't his real costumes, those just weren't going to be ready until after Rostelecom, so hopefully the new ones will be more interesting.

Disagree about the Shibs. I'm with him on Maia's skirt (love it), but I'm not there for Alex's nude top. If it looks like you're shirtless when the camera zooms out, it's a problem (especially when you're dancing with your sister). And I'd prefer if she'd tone down the crystals on her top and remove the sleeves, but yes the skirt is fab.

I also loved Piper and Paul. As for BobSol, I like the colour of her dress, but I don't love the overall cut and shape. His shirt is a perfectly nice version of the male latin SD uniform of black with a deep V.

I think both articles referred to the wrong Asian dress when describing Mirai’s outfit. I believe it’s supposed to be a sleeveless take on a Vietnamese ao dai although to be fair it really does look more like a cheongsam, which isn’t reflective of the character of the music.

You're right! (but given many other "wtf" attempts at ethnic clothes by skaters, Nagasu's is darn close, even without sleves..... )

Well, I guess I really do like Zags outfits (except for gloves and hose over your boots). I mean you can totally tell they are the same costume in a different color but I do love the Swan one.
